Commanders,

I have been extended an invitation by Commander Nathes to accompany her to New Romulus as she conducts some duties on the surface. As you know Despite our two peoples Alliance, some may view a Starfleet Officer amongst them negatively, and with the Commander’s reccomendation, I sought Lt. Loxton to join me so that things remain civil.
As you both are doubtless aware, I was not afforded the luxury of growing up among my own and I would humbly request to take a few days’ leave to accompany the Commander so I may Experience my people’s new homeworld firsthand.

I have no qualms about this and can get your shifts covered Though it is quite tight given all the holiday leave though I can work something out.
