While on leave at Risa, Bastet Commercial Enterprises - the company that leases out the bar currently known at the Event Horizon Lounge - sponsored an auction that was run by the independent merchant Seres Avlin. At this auction, many items belonging to Starfleet officers in our fleet were seen for sale.

Some of the items were recovered as per this report. Risian Federation Security has decided she is not at fault for these charges - however, the investigation remains pending regarding a pair of Boxing shorts belonging to Captain Dmitri Konieczko, and from my understanding a report was also filed on a pet Owl belonging to the civilian and former Starfleet officer Eli Altais.

I would like security to keep an eye on this situation. While Risa has dropped these charges on Seres, there was clear evidence of breaking and entering into the rooms of those the items were taken from. Despite what their report states, these items were not 'misplaced' - all officers involved stated the items as missing from their quarters. As such, pending the resolution of this issue, I would like you to look into the legitimacy of this merchant's dealings and review her license to practice business aboard this station.

Bastest Commercial Enterprises should also be contacted, but I am going to leave that to your discretion. They should at the very least understand that they will be seen as tangentially attached to this incident per their sponsorship, should criminal charges be filed against Miss Seres.

Sir,

I will draft a communique to Bastet Commercial Enterprises at the conclusion of my duty shift. You may be assured that they will be aware of the serious ramifications attendant upon being seen as an accessory to the theft of Starfleet property, and property belonging to Starfleet personnel: ramifications not only of a legal, but also of a commercial nature. I suspect that will provide some encouragement to cooperate most fully with our investigation.

Moreover, I will make myself especially available to CMDR Kozath should she wish to discuss this matter or propose any sort of recovery plan for Mr. Altais' owl and for the 'boxing shorts' lately belonging to CAPT Konieczko.
