ADDENDUM: Suspicious fossil collected from the office of the CO and delivered to Forensics. Kange questioned the owner of the business that sold the item, who claims that he won it from a Ferengi in a game of dabo. Says he had no idea the item was stolen, though an inspection of his inventory system confirms that the item was never registered before sale, might might indicate a desire to avoid a paper trail. Kange says the owner was pretty shook and seemed to want to cooperate.
Previous owner of the item, a Ferengi named Rork, appears on the passenger manifest of the freighter SS Lloma, which docked at DS13 a few weeks ago -- around the time the Rockbusters owner reports meeting him. Has a few priors, mainly for drunk and disorderly conduct.
