TO: STRIKE FORCE: KARGAS
FROM: KLINGON HIGH COMMAND
TYPE: TEXT FORMAT MESSAGE
CLASSIFICATION: SECRET (COMMAND LEVEL OFFICERS ONLY)
In an ongoing effort to continue expansion of the Klingon Empire the following areas have been designated as prime locations for which to increase our influence and potentially plant the flag of the Empire.
Defera
Nimbus III
Nukara Prime
Each of these areas will require warriors with well-rounded and in-depth skills in the many facets of war.
Defera
This planet has remained neutral in our conflict with the United Federation of Planets. However, they possess a great many vital resources and is a strategic location. Defera has come under constant attack by the Borg. They are constantly at odds with the Breen as well. Eliminating the Borg threat and holding back the Breen, or at least providing more military forces than the Federation, will go far in our efforts of swaying their political opinion.
Primary Operation: Defend the planet, eliminate the Borg and Breen threat, provide medical assistance, engineering and construction assistance, emergency evacuation operations. Diplomatic influence will also be a necessity.
Contingency Operation: The Deferi are known to be pacifists and may remain neutral despite our efforts to outdo the Federation. Given their weakened state from the Borg and the current lack of Federation ships and personnel it may be possible to take the planet by force and annex it. This can only be achieved once it has been deemed safe from persistent Borg and Breen attacks.
Nimbus III
The so called “Planet of Galactic Peace” has always been neutral ground for which the Klingon Empire, The Romulan Empire/Republic, and the United Federation of Planets, could meet. There is little law, insignificant influence, and the planet has few resources. There are clusters of gangs and cults which lay claim to (areas of) the planet. It is a strategically valuable planet given its location. Holding this planet would give the Klingon Empire a significant advantage in monitoring the newly formed Romulan Republic and provide us the ability to be withing striking distance to destroy their primary facilities and cultural hubs should the Romulans prove to be as they have been in the past.
Primary Operation: Neutralize hostile forces. This operation will take careful and cunning skills from warriors. Killing is not our only option. Instead, we may find it a benefit to work with and recruit these small packs. In doing so we essentially establish a de facto planetary defense network that can keep the Federation and Romulans away as well as initial raiding parties on assets in the sector while maintaining our ability for plausible deniability. Winning the local populace will go far in increasing our influence in the area.
We will also need to scout areas for which to establish listening/observation posts on the planet as it is a well-known location for spies to frequent. The construction of hidden bases/safe houses will be crucial for us to conduct surveillance.
The difficulty in this will be carrying out this operation without becoming too obvious. A slow buildup of local support is more ideal than an instant turning of the populace towards Klingon rule.
Contingency Operation: Eliminate hostiles by force. Clear areas needed and proceed with the establishment of listening/observation posts.
Nukara Prime
This planet has become a focal point of the Tholian Assembly as of late. Tholians cannot be trusted, they cannot be negotiated with. They are only dealt with through swift and violent military action. This planet has many resources and mysteries. However, the Federation has also shown an interest in this location. The Federation is always willing to negotiate and work together. This is one of the few threats in which it is to our mutual benefit to act together. As the Borg typically act in small, yet powerful, groups they are usually well defeated through superior numbers and skilled tactics, they are machines that lack ingenuity. The Tholians are much more complex, they attack with military precision and have sound tactics they apply to their various ships which they use in a coordinated attack. The Tholians want this planet, we must make sure they are unable to lay claim.
Primary Operation: This planet holds little strategic value to the Empire. Since it is of interest to the Tholains we must deny it to them. This will require significant ground action while operating in environmental suits, this type of battle truly requires seasoned skills as the dangers presented all end in death rather than injury. Eliminate the Tholians by any means necessary.
Contingency Operation: Provide assistance to the Federation in combating the Tholian threat. It may prove more strategically sound to allow the Federation to do the heavy work. Our willingness to help may work to our favor by the Federation sending more assets to this location thereby leaving other areas vulnerable. Close observation of Federation tactics and equipment will also aid us in our war effort against the UFP.
Strike Force: Kargas is charged with providing assets to one or more of these operations. Given your glorious track record SFK will be given command authority in any/all of these missions.
Reports: Significant conflict, glorious battle, the need for additional assets, intelligence findings, prisoners, and the conquering of areas are all important information that the High Command must be informed upon as soon as they occur. Failure to do so will not be tolerated.
Glory to the Empire.
This transmission ends now.

None of this is mandatory. The hope is that these various scenarios will spark some interest and provide an atmosphere newer for SFK to RP in. Typically we center our RP around arguing and fighting with TF:A and FED in general. With these scenarios there is room for political intrigue, spying, scientific endeavors, fighting different enemies, and RPing some place different than the Base.
Defera has a lot. There is the Breen featured episode series, the Borg adventure zone, Deferi dailies, and the random Borg sector threat. There are plenty of places for long RP as well as action oriented RP. There can be triage set up for injured Defferi for our medical oriented players, scientific endeavors to oppose the Borg for our SCI players, combat for the TAC players, and the repairing of facilities for the ENG players, and so on.
Nimbus III has a series of missions as well. I’ve never seen this place used for RP even though it is a pretty awesome place. RP Talking to locals and taking on some of the missions there can provide a good amount of story for us to build off of. I think a good amount of fun can be had here specifically for the less action-oriented SFK players as deals can be made with the locals at the bar. The club is also good place to speak to spies/gang leaders (though groups would be limited to team size to get to the club). And the sand worms provide an interesting foe to be fought when trying to find areas to conduct surveillance and establish a base/safe house from.
Nukara Prime is fun if you have a group and it can be repeated over and over again. RP missions can come into play as far as rescuing fallen/captured Warriors, observing Fed players, taking on Tholian leaders, and so on. There is also the ability to get Nukara Marks from the event which I know some want.
There is no set time or date for these to occur right now. If there is a large amount of interest I’ll consider making one of these a repeatable RP event. For now, this is just out there for when a couple people are on SFK and want to RP something other than drinking at the base. I will probably schedule something from one, or eventually all three, of them soon to get the ball rolling.
There is no real story arc to these. So, they are wide open for anyone to pick something and build something off of and get us into an environment other than always at the base or on a bridge.
If you get an idea for a RP, no matter if it is a one-off RP or a long story arc, go ahead and lay the foundations and get it going. Feel free to explore the possibilities of these RPs and let’s take SFK into an RP setting and story that we haven’t done before!
