OOC Players will meet in STO to interact IC. The games we play will be simulated using Discord activities. Come prepared to multitask!
For the inaugural DS13 game night event, we’ll be playing Texas hold ‘em poker. If that isn’t your preferred game, don’t fret! We’ll be rotating through a variety of games and so next time it might be something more to your liking.
We will be meeting IC in STO somewhere that has a table. (The starbase promenade conference room by default, unless we get enough people to need more seats, in which case we’ll move to R&D instead.) The game itself will be simulated using a discord activity which I’ll start in an RP room. Note that this room in discord is JUST for gameplay, all RP should happen in STO. It would help to have two screens for this, one for STO and the other for the discord activity. Opening the discord activity on a phone or tablet works fairly well if your desktop has just one monitor.
This time we’re playing Settlers of Rihan*! (*As represented by the discord activity “Colonist”.) The free version of this game has a hard limit of four players so we’ll have to start multiple boards if we have a big turnout. As usual, I’ll open a discord scene for the activity but all IC interactions will take place in STO. We’ll plan to meet at the promenade conference room and relocate if necessary.
Tomorrow’s game will be miniature golf, represented by the Discord activity “Putt Party”. As always, I’ll open a scene in Discord to host the activity, but all IC interactions will take place in game. We’re going to meet in the starbase holodeck for this one.
Tomorrow’s game will be Letter League, a ripoff of Scrabble. We’ll meet IC in STO, in the promenade conference room, and OOC I will open a scene to host the Discord activity to simulate the game board.
