Elder Scrolls Online: FTP

I like ES as much as the next guy around here. I was wondering who among us will pick up the game (if they haven't already) now that it's going free to play.
I'm pretty damn into ES, especially the deeper, trippier lore- the kirkbride stuff, so.. probably me.
Elder Scrolls Online goes Free To Play, Surprising No One

Cute relevant article.

As for my two cents...probably not until months after they iron out their new model and we see if it's as bad as TOR.
Ooh. This will definitely bear some looking into.
Not me!

Sadly, I can only play one game at a time. If I get into that game, I will almost surely stop playing STO to go play ES exclusively.

Since I love this fleet so much, I actually gave up another game I was going to setup to play. (Everquest Next)

For those who do though, please let us know about some of the cool stuff there!

I've played a couple of the Elder Scrolls games, and I was in the Beta for ESO. I wasn't impressed by ESO's beta but I went ahead and followed some friends into it for about a month after release. It was a disappointing game, especially if you enjoyed the "sandbox with a story" feel of the Elder Scrolls games.

I didn't really play long enough to get involved in the PVP, but what I heard over voice chat from my friends that did get involved was very disappointing -- it very much involved zerg-fests and if you weren't on the side that had the most players, you ended up respawning repeatedly.

PVE was interesting, but it was very difficult to group unless you were patient enough to level as slowly as the people you enjoyed grouping with. It was very focused on Solo-play and not so much on group. The frustrating part was you really didn't have much of a choice. (Treasure maps, on the other hand were awesome. )

Crafting was fun, but was sometimes frustrating because of the requirements for hunting down recipes. In the single player games, this isn't as much as an issue but in an MMO, it was very frustrating.

Roleplay was very difficult to find, even in the early days of the game.

The Graphics were incredibly beautiful, and the music was fantastic, but sadly, they just weren't enough to keep me in that game.

For what it's worth, those were just my impressions of Beta and shortly after release, your mileage may vary.

I was in the beta, too. I had plenty of fun, if only just faffing about in the starter areas and making cool-looking characters.
It's pretty hard to beat TOR's F2P model in terms of badness. I guess we'll just have to see.
