I just had a quite wonderful idea, everyone has a sizeable collection of ships, right?
Ships just laying there, being no use at all!
You don't fly them, why not kick the space dust off and participate in something somewhat special?
Why not get toghether and use them for something!
Introducing:
Fleet simulation Battles!
What is a fleet simulation battle, you might ask?
Fleet Simulation Battle or FSB for short, is a PVP private match in which two teams go at beating eachother in the face.
I hear you asking, what is so special about it?
Well, let me explain!
In a FSB two teams of thematically distinct ships go battle!
Have you got a mirror ship?
Cool! Let's assemble a team and simulate a mirror incursion, with Starfleet fending it off.
Have you got a Herald ship?
Awesome! Let's assemble a skirmish battle with the heralds!
Do you have an awesome shuttle?
Let's go do a fighter firefight simulation!
Want to see how federation vessels would fare against eachother in war?
Cool, fetch your dreadnought, and come battle!
And so on so forth.
The great thing is, though, that these are simulations and as such need not contribute to the main canon!
The IC explanation goes as this.
"Captains! In an effort to continually keep military readiness at an acceptable level, we introduce simulated skirmishes, not against autonomous inteligence, but against your commrades! In these simulations, you will be given control of our starships or other we have encountered, simulated to our best knowledge from sensor readings!"
