IC History of PoF (now found on taskforcepof.enjin.com)

These are copied from the monthly RP updates sent by Sun'dara. It gives a history of the Task Force.
MAY 2013:
1. After Talon was rescued, Starfleet Intelligence, Headquarters and the "checks and balances" Sorit works for, decided to move those involved (and a handful of others) to an old Dominion base out on the Romulan border. The base had been maintained by skeleton crew and has a tribble problem. Those assigned are busy building it up, bringing in supplies and welcoming whomever fleet sends them. Mainly, those are more "unique" personel like themselves.

2. T'Kaydea (vulc/rom) and Caleb (bajoran Doctor) finally recieved orders to become part of the base. They had been "holding position" just outside of the base line after Caleb was captured by Section 31 (tried to force him back into his commission). TK and her ship had been keeping him safe after Fleet used him too many times as a "shield" because of his ability to heal people. Caleb has been assigned as the base CMO. TK is trying to make her diplomatic ship battle ready.

2.5 *new* They discovered that whilst being held by S31 one of their telepaths did some memory blocking and other nasty damage to him *fleet involvement* They need to get to Vulcan to a healer. We are thinking Headquarters won't be thrilled about that. Sorit, Tam and Lyn came up with an insane level complex battle that will occur in Vulcan space.

3. TK and Caleb spent two days on a preserved planet and stumbled on Tholians in a cave system (and ancient artifacts too). Tamarin sent probes that confirmed presence. It might be a story to continue with (why are the tholians there, what were they after, etc)

JUNE 2013
* We've now met S'ivar, a Romulan of mystery. She came to the perimeter as the base was trying to rescue a heavily damaged convoy. Tamarin was out chasing those who attacked it. Sorit wanted to shoot the Romulan ship, T'kayeda tried for compromise. The latter won and later it was discovered that S'ivar had sent her own medics to take care of the most critical patients. The convoy has been repaired and is on its way.
*T'kayeda was handed a list of names by Sorit after her diplomatic moment in the convoy. Due to other obligations, she did not investigate much. A second list was just handed to her with names crossed out. Who are they and what is Sorit doing?
*Caleb still needs to get to Vulcan to be healed from the damage the telepath did (Foundry is still down)
*Sun'dara is again furious at Sorit for saying he was using T'k and Caleb as bait for his "checks and balances." She threw an insult at him that he warns her she will pay dearly for later.
*Cyrus Lysander became the Cheif engineering officer in wild fashion, dropping through the ceiling after setting part of the Engineering Lab on fire.
*tholians are still in the area for those who want to play that out

JULY 2013
1.Doaga was introduced to the people over at Argo in true Ferengi style - in a trade negotiation. However, a lovely spitfire of a female ferengi had plans of her own when it come to the supplies needed by our base. It was a fierce verbal battle up to the very end.

2.Many of the fleet met with the Argo fleet in an excellent gathering. There were over 20 RPrs having conversations and the chat box reminded me of weekends in Mos Eisely, but less vulgar. Near everyone came out with ideas for stories and I hope to see those happen. A couple of us have been back to the base for various things. There is a chat channel for those who want in (its safer than the other one). I have admin on it

3.Chief Engineer Cyrus has removed most of the tribbles from the base. They are in a shield bubble down by the Deck 18 viewing area. He's sprayed a nutrient on the hull so they have food, but they won't reproduce. Sun'dara was impressed at the humane methods he came up with.

4.S'laris has RP'd into the fleet story and will be out hunting down the anomolies that may be more Tholians like the ones T'kayeda and Caleb found on the preserved planet.

5.We are finally going to get Caleb over to Vulcan to be healed. However, this isn't so easy. Fleet said he isn't critical enough. Sorit has been hunting down those who tortured Caleb and is finding more issues within Starfleet than imagined. This means the fleet will need to gather ships and somehow get to Vulcan but are expecting to be blocked by those who do not want Calebs story out.

Final note: T'Kayeda and Caleb also now know who Sorits superior officer is, but are sworn to silence

AUGUST 2013
A Vulcan named T'Paar has joined the fleet. She has some mad science skills and has taken on the Tholian threat. Sadly, the Tholians were a bit too much to handle and her ship was lost. We now know a bit more about the new armor on them though.

In a moment that surprised many, a unfamiliar vessel approached the base with a familiar signature. Beaming in was the former base Commodore! Vorn looked like hell, but he was alive. Repairs are being done on his ship, his crew have been cared for and he's decided to hang around for a bit. Cyrus has locked down the armory and a few crew are in hiding! The former Rear Admiral is not quite who he used to be. Sun'dara has been seen outside of her office, talking or arguing with him and sometimes having a drink or two at the bar. Strange indeed

A fierce battle over Vulcan ended with an encounter that shocked everyone, the stage has been set for several storylines. While the ships appeared to have been Romulan led and under orders from an Admiral - what was found inside the main cruiser were Klingon mercs led by a couple of transformed Undine. Since the encounter, Tamarin has been lurking about the base, trying to figure out if a Romulan she once knew was involved. Sorit, supposedly under orders, has been missing for two weeks.

After a lengthy session with the Vulcan healers, Caleb's mind is once again his own. He and T'kayeda stayed on Vulcan for several days to recover and forge their mental bonding. After a few days on Risa, they finally made their way to Bajor for a formal ceremony. Doaga and Ariana attended as witness. While there, it was revealed that Caleb had been chosen as Presidor at the next Gratitude Festival. This will bring in some conflict of interest.

Once back at the base, Sun'dara was given orders to assign T'kayeda to a Romulan ship. Its crew were part of a fledgling diplomatic core. Fighting it all the way, T'kayeda is now there. Occasionally, Caleb gets to be as well.

SEPTEMBER 2013
1. Tamarin's been sulking over the current Hirogen crisis. Convyos are being attacked left and right and some strange group of Romulans keeps appearing. She believes it is S'ivar - someone from Tams past. The shipping lanes in the region need constant watch, there is talk of hiring outside help to find out where the heart of the issues lay, and we have Foundry missions being made. (Tamarin, Webster, Cymraeg are most recently involved)

2. Sorit (Intel officer, number cruncher, part of a organization that makes S31 cringe and base "jerk") has informed Sun'dara and the other top officers that Starfleet is in more trouble than it lets on. Corruption runs deep and the odds are not good for it surviving much longer. That puts the Federation in even more danger (duh, isn't it always!) The stats he quotes makes Sun' cringe until he says that odds can turn more to the Federations favor if she can get her band of "misfit uniques" together and ready to fight. Note: this is a long term story that will go on through the fleets existence.

3. Tholians...they are a sensitive subject around the base. Ever since T'kayeda and Caleb stumbled across them on the preserved planet, things have been tricky. The base is far enough from Nukara to not catch traffic from there, so what is this issue? What we know is they are armored much differently than other Tholians. T'Paar discovered that they are basically the version of Tholian MACO, but with more of a scientific theme to their missions. All Sun'dara knows is if one more ship pops up in the sector, someone is going out an airlock! (T'paar, Sun, M'rell, TK and Caleb recently involved)

The rest will come in a separate post which will bring us up to present day.
Bringing the story to current time!
At the base, there has been a lot of activity:

A few rescued convoys have made a mess of Sickbay and a holodeck used for triage. Up until his departure for Bajor, Caleb was working around the clock. Now, his protege, Michael, is picking up some of the work. Recently, the remnents of a large battle were brought in by the Kyoto. They are a mysterious group of Romulans (S'ivar).

Webster, first settling into life on the base while his ship is refit, then taking the offer to further assist the safety of its residents by returning temporarily to MACO, has made for a lot of great moments. He's also taken to making sure Sun' is off-duty at a decent hour - at least on the days when Cyrus isn't doing the same thing. He and Sun' have taken to sparring practice when frustrations get too high.

Cyrus is working his crew to the max while in the refits and constant ship and base repairs. When off-duty, he and Sun'dara have been spending a little extra time together. Given their years long friendship, very few seem surprised.

Sun'dara has a lot on her plate. While the visit to Bajor for the Festival was nice, there was a negative aspect too. Sorit. While he had been more "human" in this final clone, he was also very ill. Progress had been made on the sickness, but not in time. He took drastic measures and handed Sun' a program that would revert him to the previous mindset and body. It was a crushing blow, but, for the safety of the known worlds, she did it. The colder version appeared shortly after. There is also the aspect of a latent skill she had, being brought to light by Cleopatra Monroe. Cleo has taken it upon herself to train Sun' to use that skill better. There is also Sorit being right in his warnings that a promotion is on the way. Sun isn't thrilled.

Cleo has been continuing her role as interim tactical chief. While there have been some questions regarding why and her methods, most have fallen in line. It is a strain on Ms. Monroe, but one she is handling with excellence. She is slowly making friends among other members of the base - even among those who hate what she once was. One security risk that irks her is the captured Ferengi, Zel. Despite many attempts to find out why he really was in the area and why he isn't eager to return to his fathers company, little progress has been made.

Lynese has returned to the base after an unexpected aspect. When learning of the real reason why she had been away, Sun felt horrible for her friend. However, Lynese is strong and has already gone back to overseeing her ships repairs. She is eager to be back on patrol.

Over on Bajor, what started as a peaceful Gratitude Festival has turned into a series of events which have led T'kayeda almost begging to leave. Caleb has done excellent work as the Presidor, but the same events have him worn. It isn't easy always having to look over ones shoulder. Breaking up assassination attempts, dealing with rain delays, trying to make sure his home village stays safe has all made for a brutally long trip. He wants the village to feel like home to his bondmate, but T'kayeda has never been in one place for long - especially not on a planet and never in a proper house.
