As many of you know, with Thursday's patch STO will no longer be allowing external connections to the game's chat channels. Unfortunately this means that our beloved discord bot will no longer function. RIP DATA. You were a good bot.
This loss of functionality has forced us to make some difficult decisions. Moving forward, discord will be argo's primary OOC chat platform. Getting access to the fleet discord will now be mandatory for new players joining the fleet.
The in-game ArgoChat channel will remain, reserved for OOC communication during/about RP between players actually in-game. The ArgoRecruiting channel will be phased out within the next few weeks, and new applicants will be directed to discord instead.
Current members who have chosen not to join discord are encouraged to join, but may continue to opt-out with the understanding that you are now likely to miss out on the vast majority of the fleet's OOC chat.
