Important Reminders and Staff Changes

Hello Argo! First off, a few reminders.

Most of the fleet has already moved over to the new communication channel, ArgoChat. The same goes for the Fleet’s Senior Members regarding the ArgoRecruiting Channel. TFA:SFK and 38th Argo will be shut down on 1 November. Make sure you're in the new channel before then.

Next on the list of reminders is the combined Alt Application and Character Registry thread. If you’re making changes to these for whatever reason please post the changes in a new reply instead of editing the original. We can’t track edits efficiently so the changes will likely be missed. Related, Argo members will be able to join Zenas Privateers starting 1 November. An alt application in the KDF Character Registry section is required to join. This includes Argo members who have an existing alt in ZP.

The 2017 Fall Awards Ceremony will take place on 19 November at Beta. If you’d like to nominate a character send an Enjin PM to any staff member.

Staff would like to remind all players, both old and new, that all fleet holdings, chat channels, and forums are PG-13. We ask that you consider your language and choice of topics. If at any point any member asks for a topic change in a fleet channel please drop the subject and respect said member's wishes. Refer to the rules and regulations or any staff member if you're unsure about Fleet Rules or have questions.

To conclude the reminders, staff hasn’t forgotten about the new fleet holding. A lot of work goes into making this an appropriate IC venue, and we appreciate your patience and your suggestions. You'll start to see what we've got planned within the next few weeks.

If you aren’t already aware we’ve been handling very high volumes of applicants of late. At the time of this post there are 10 people in the recruiting process. This is by no means a bad thing, but it does stretch our ability to process these applicants in a timely manner. Additionally, Argo has around 100 members, no small feat. That generates a lot of work for a staff of only five people, who also have jobs and real life obligations. Due to these two factors and several others we’ve decided to bring on an additional moderator: Konieczko@DoABarrelRoll. He's looking forward to diving into the paperwork and mandatory staff meetings; so please seek him out if you have need of a staff member.

Thanks everyone for the congratulations and thanks to the other members of the staff for bringing me on. I have had an absolute blast in the time that I've been in Argo. Part of that being the staff and the other the member base. I sincerely hope that going forward I will be able to use this position and the experience that I've netted to repay even a fraction of the joy that I've found while being here.
