RAID ON ILLEGAL SON'A FACILITY - DARK PACT UNCOVERED, HERO OF THE EMPIRE SAVED
Acting upon information from Imperial Intelligence, General Rodek, son of Noggra, led a daring attack on a Son'a facility in the Briar Patch. Allegedly a science station researching the effects of metaphasic radiation, the facility was actually a high-security prison under the control of the traitorous Torg, son of Kormog.
General Rodek successfully breached this fortress of treachery and gave the prisoners a chance to earn back their honor by fighting their way out through Torg's thugs and Tzenkethi hordes. The presence of the latter was soon explained as it turned out that the prison held the Tzenkethi's most wanted Klingon - Martok, former Chancellor and head of the House of Martok.
The rescue mission ended in a glorious space battle in which Torg's forces suffered a final defeat - Martok himself beamed to Torg's flagship and challenged the traitor to a duel. Despite his long incarceration and the wounds he suffered at the hands of Torg's gaolers, the great hero of the Empire proved to be more than a match for the cowardly son of Kormog. Martok claimed Torg's life and his flagship, and led the Alliance forces to a great victory against the assembled Torg, Tzenkethi and Son'a fleets.
The return of the former Chancellor, believed dead for over twenty years, has caused an uproar in the First City. Since the news first broke, threats and demands have been flying between the Houses of J'mpok and Martok. However, Martok himself defused the situation by renouncing any claims to the Chancellor position - at least for now - and confirming that J'mpok did indeed defeat him in honorable combat.
More details in this dramatic story will be revealed in General Rodek's full report to the High Council, which will be presented during the next official session.
