This planet was the site of the crash landing of the Federation shuttle Kincardine (type-11). The stranded crew survived fourteen days on the planet before being rescued by 38th Fleet vessels.

Terrain night time view
Climate Hot and dry, grassland savannah terrain, interspersed with crater lakes. Averages 35-38° C during the day, drops to 21-24° C at night. Periodic inclement weather events where rainfall is boiling hot to touch and extended exposure can cause second or third degree burns.
ABANDONED FACILITY
This abandoned facility was located on the surface of the planet by the crashed Kincardine crew and served as their primary shelter for much of their stay. From the crew’s research, the facility had been without any living residents for approximately 162 years.

Crater Facility, openings/exits/breaches
Rectangular shapes indicate there's a constructed facility entrance/exit roughly on the indicated wall. Irregular shapes indicate breaches.
The facility was built by a spacefaring humanoid species. They were warp-capable, but only just so. The settlers were previously a minority caste on their home planet and became the unfortunate victims of philosophical persecution. When the violence against them rose to critical levels, they took as many of their followers as possible and escaped the planet. The communications/sensors shield and an automated, orbital defense satellite network were implemented as defense mechanisms in case they were ever followed.
Some of the early crew logs also mention references to concern that they did not have sufficient population to keep their settlement going in perpetuity, but even if this was the case, it was not a primary problem. Their small group had fled only to avoid further retribution from the majority, not to establish a new civilization; they simply desired to be free. The last resident of the facility was named Koiya and lived there for six years in solitude. Her final fate is unknown, though it seems probable that she passed away within or near the facility itself.
Bipedal herbivore mammal, travels in herds. Primarily maneuvers by jumping on massively powerful hind legs. Avg 1-3 meters in height. Catalogued by KSEDAI.
Carnivorous reptile averaging around 2-4 meters in length, not including their hooked tails, and up to 250-300 kgs in weight. Typically travels and hunts in pack groups. Males are a brighter, flashier red while females are primarily black. Demonstrates high speed and strength, as well as an extremely tough and crocodilian-like hide. Likely candidate for planet’s apex predator. Catalogued by KSEDAI.
Herbivorous mammal. Averages around 5-6 meters in height. Body is covered in patches of hard keratin that serve as powerful protection against predators, as well as sharp hooves for kicking. Possibly very intelligent. Catalogued by KSEDAI.
FA06
((No Man’s Sky))
Giant, pollinating insect (average wingspan 1m across). Generally hangs around water sources. Catalogued by KSEDAI.
Viny plant that grows quickly and produces an elongated green and yellow vegetable. Safe to eat, though with low nutritional value. Found in greenhouse and may not be native to planet. Catalogued by VSOVUM.
Shrubbery plant that produces a starchy root tuber. Edible and good source of carbohydrates. Found in greenhouse and may not be native to planet. Catalogued by VSOVUM.
FL008
((No Man’s Sky))
Stalk plant with fruits which are edible and non-toxic, though the skin has bioluminescent properties and an unpleasant taste. Fruit flesh itself is textured like a pineapple and tastes similar to natural strawberry. Tons of vitamins. Generally found around water sources. Catalogued by KSEDAI.
