BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
The only child of former diplomatic aides turned club owners, Vitra Lliu grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area of North America, on Earth. Of mixed heritage, Vitra found herself a bit of a curiosity among her peer group, but fit in well with the other children of her school, which catered to the Embassy Row Neighborhood. It exposed her at an early age to other cultures and helped her accept and celebrate the differences, while finding to commonalities.
While her parents' cultures were seemingly always at odds with each other, Vitra's household was one of unity and understanding. Both mother and father treating her as an equal, both imparting what wisdom, culture and sense of history they had to offer her. In Vitra, these things grew into a powerful work ethic and a moral code that she still adheres to. A sense of right and wrong, a desire to keep the peace, and help her fellow gentle beings.
When she became of age, and decided which direction her life would take, her parents weren't too disappointed that she applied to Starfleet Academy, instead of following them into the diplomatic service. Vitra took to academy life like a bird to flight, finding the structure it brought to her life most agreeable. Starfleet's ideals meshed well with her own moral code, and the challenges it brought to her mind and body were obstacles she eager looked to master, as best she could. While not the best student academically, she was respected by her instructors and well liked by her social circle.
Now a commissioned officer, Ensign Vitra Llui has spent the past couple years as a security officer at the Academy, occasionally helping in other maters within the Sol System. But now that she's received new orders, she looks forward to life beyond her home system, eager to explore the frontier of Federation space and beyond.
