Crew of USS Midway:
Following an evaluation of ongoing operational needs, USS Midway is being reallocated to the 3rd Fleet. Two hundred and twenty three officers and crew from Midway, including command staff, are being reassigned and will remain with the 38th. See attachment for individual orders. Once all reassigned crew have disembarked, command of USS Midway is to be relinquished to LT Morrison and remaining skeleton crew (27) for transfer to new assignment.
Captain Vel, Commanding Officer, USS Midway:
As of this date, you are requested and required to take command of USS Forrestal. Forrestal is currently en route to DS13 and expected to arrive by end of week. The majority of Midway’s former crew has been assigned to join you, to bring Forrestal’s diminished complement to standard levels. Upon assuming command of Forrestal you are ordered to report operational status to Rear Admiral Bishop and then resume previously assigned Aries Squadron duties.
