Mission Orders: Operation Cobalt Liberty

TO: Task Force Argo and MACO Team 34
FROM: STARFLEET COMMAND
SUBJECT COBALT LIBERTY

Operation Cobalt Liberty has been approved. Intel has confirmed the presence of a Borg listening post in the Coval system. Cobalt liberty will be conducted concurrently with Operation Kyber Run in the Sirus sector block on stardate: (when scheduled).

Mission Object 1 - deploy the infil team onto the planet without the Borg listening post alerting the collective
Critical Mission Objective A - simultaneously block both subspace relay beacons in orbit around the planet
Critical Mission Objective B - eliminate Borg drones at the listening post and place the infil team

Attached is a brief overview of the Coval system and expected enemy presence.

Spoiler: Coval System IntelShow
Coval System is a single, main sequence, type K star with four planets. Coval-b is a hot-Jovian in close orbit to the Coval star. Coval-c is a smaller sized terrestrial planet just on the inner ring of the habitable zone with a nitrogen, oxygen and carbon-dioxide atmosphere breathable by humanoids. It has a gravity coefficient of .93. Coval-d and Coval-e are two smaller gas giants at significant distance from the star. Despite being an M class planet, Coval-c has an arid atmosphere and no known life. Passive sensor sweeps have determined that a Borg listening post is located on the planet and two subspace beacons in orbit are being used to transmit back to the collective.

The subspace transmitters are receiving transmissions from the planet on frequencies 1603.5 Mhz and 2193.7 Mhz, respectively.

Minor amounts of rocky and metallic debris in proximity to Coval-c may interfere with sensors and mask approaching ships.

Small Borg patrol ships were detected in the system. Its unknown how many and what type are there on a regular basis.
