NOTICE: Recruiting Process Change

I want to let everyone know about some new changes to the fleet application process.

Currently new applicants use the ARGO-DS13 channel to get RP with current fleet members who then post vouchers for the applicant. This has been very helpful to the admin team in helping sort out the potential in new applicants.

However, we have run into snags with applicants who play on off hours or who can't seem to get the right times available to get vouchers for their application process. There are several reasons for this, but it has created a growing backlog of applicants who can't get into the fleet.

In order to rectify this issue, the admin team is going to start a new process for applicants. Going forward applicants will be IC and OOC screened by the admin team soon after placing an application to the fleet. After that meeting, the applicant will be asked to attend a planned event (likely a ALPHA, GAMMA or LAMBDA event) with the rest of the fleet.

Post this event, the admin team will ask for feedback on the applicant from members who attended the event, then make a decision on the applicant. And, once in the fleet, the applicants will go through the normal recruit trial period.

The biggest change, as you can see, is the removal of the voucher requirement. This is both to speedup the application process as well as limit the voucher requirement on our current members.

We want to stress, first and foremost, that this is only a temporary suspension of the voucher system, which we may return to at a future date.

And, lastly, I want to say thank you to all the members who have been so active and helped us with the voucher system. It was a real help to the admin team and was amazing to see how another set of eyes opened ours to our applicants.

I know since we have the shifts system this may be a widdle bit pointless, but is it worth setting out people in certain time zones that the potential recruits can contact like two per time zone...and Kat cause y'know Kat's always on base. Heh.

Are you asking in terms of just contacting for questions or you're suggesting we appoint additional recruiting officers to do interviews?
Ah the former, but the later could be goodish too.
