After receiving an automated transmission from Probe Epsilon 90a, assisted in launch by the USS October in 2417, that its sub-light propulsion systems have failed the assigned vessel must investigate its location and recover information stored within onboard data banks. A decision must then be made as to whether to repair or recall the probe, due to the construction and size of the device EVA will be required for access.

Investigate Reports of Piracy in Doza Sector

Starfleet have received a request from the Glacking Gold Freight Company to investigate reports of piracy along their primary shipping lanes. With ongoing diplomatic elements of Gemini Squadron operating within the sector, vessels assigned have been requested to look into these claims and offer temporary convoy protection until further investigation can be carried out.
Potential threats should be dispatched as a last resort as per Starfleet’s standing orders of engagement, however assigned vessels are reminded the ongoing diplomatic situation within the sector is paramount.
Mediate a Disputed Mining Claim on the outskirts of the Crossroads Nebula

The USS October is requesting the assistance of Squadron Elements in mediating a disputed mining claim of the comet THP-12-F, rich in mineral resources. From what sources have obtained the Ferengi vessel Daknemis has established a mining operation on the northern sector of the comet, while local scavenging group Fair-Sea’s simultaneously began collecting ore deposits several days prior, stating their claim of the comet with a threatening stance.
The Daknemis has requested mediation in resolving the dispute without escalation. Both the Ferengi and Fair-Sea’s are expecting Starfleet’s arrival.
