Operational Klongat; Strike Force Kargas Pi Canis Sector Attack!

"Its been too long since we've taken our blades against Starfleet. They have become complacent... Focusing on the Borg, and making 'Peace' with Romulans. They will pay for their weakness with their blood." - Colonel Zygor, son of Kaanjah. Operational Klongat War Council, Strike Force Kargas

Classified; wej doQ cha security clearance required. Officers eyes only.

Klingon Intelligence has seized the Starfleet Operational Deployment Schedule for the Pi Canis Block. After inspection, a weakness has been discovered. It is now known that Starfleet intends to rotate the Eighth fleet out of frontline position on Stardate 399541. Their taste for battle seems to have run dry, and are to be replaced by Fresh reserves from the Fifteenth Fleet. When they do this, Federation Garrisons across the region will be reduced in strength. Starfleet Reinforcements will not be available for at the least, One Hundred and Twenty hours, during the transition. High Command does not have the forces available for a wide scale offensive in the region. However exploiting this knowledge, an Ambitious League of Warriors could lead a Force against a selected target and make larger gains with smaller numbers. I declare that Strike Force Kargas is this force, and that we are those Warriors!

Target Background:
Kern III is a Federation Tritanium Mining and refinement Facility. It Produces more then a full two-thirds of the Tritanium required by Shipyards and Installations in the Region. In addition to the obvious territory gain, and disruption to Starfleet Lines. Although the our fleets are not as reliant on quantities of Tritanium as Starfleet is, and the Federation has ample supply sources of the material in other regions. This sources loss would force Starfleet to overburden its already over-extended supply lines in the sector, which have already proven vulnerable to our Raider Activity. Success here could mean a complete reduction in Starfleet fighting strength across the entire block.

The Strike Plan:
First Strike of the Operation will split our Force into two groups. First group will attack federation shipping and facilities across the Pi Canis Block. Although Targets of Opportunity and prizes may be taken, the objective is to raise havoc, and confuse Starfleet forces throughout the sector. Disrupt Starfleet communication lines, spread fear among their ranks, and force a defensive posture across the region. This making other Federation Garrisons reluctant and fearful to commit reinforcements to Kern III once the assault begins.

Second Group will simultaneously attack the Orbital Defenses of the Kern III system. Objective to Soften them up, punch a hole through the defensive mine field, and destroy as much of the Defensive fleet as possible. In when taken in combination with the First groups raiding across the sector, this will fool Starfleet into believing it to be simply another raiding operation, and shroud its true purpose.

Following the successful completion of both operations, the two groups will rally at Seedea and re-attack the Kurn System in Force. Timing will be the key in the second attack, and when we strike, Starfleet should have a complete repair operation underway. The Orbital network will simply be swept aside, and an attack on the Planet can be commenced directly. Detailed intelligence of the terrain and layout for the Federation ground Defenses are not available. Every Warrior must bring his finest to ensure a final Victory. Upon that victory, we will hold the planet until a full occupation force from the Klingon Defense Forces ranks can be dispatched, then we will return to Qo'nos to Song and Glory!

This will be an unsupported Operation, and we will be making this strike alone. We have no need or want of Federation Prisoners. Any Starfleet personnel too cowardly to die a glorious death in battle, are ordered to be put to the blade. Our Strength cannot be sacrificed to their weakness.

The Fate of the Empire may rest upon this single battle, let every warrior do his utmost, and die well...

((The OOC Details))

Inspired by Rhena's recent proposal for the Large Strategic game, this is a scaled down PVE attempt at something similar.

This will be played out in two events as In-character STF actions. One on July 10th and one on the 17th. All actions, chatter, and events will be considered In-Character occurring. First event will be the Space Operation, Second event will be the Ground assault. Numbers and maps played may be altered based on the number participants, but please don't be shy to participate, unless more then 22 people participate, and we need at least 5 players to make this work. The more the merrier!
Although I'm sure the STF maps are probably known to you, and you know how to complete them. To keep the pacing and inclusiveness together, we'd have to ask that you suspend that knowledge for the event, restrict yourself to the In-character knowledge. A player will be acting as the Combat controller, and will direct the various teams towards Objectives.

Keeping to the In-Character State of the event. Combat will be considered single Knockout. In Space if your ship is destroyed, you will be considered knockout out in the mission, and will be expected to Roleplay your ship out of the event (either forced to withdraw, retreat, or even destroyed should you wish, it will be left up to the Player). On the ground, respawning will not be permitted. You character can be revived on the field by a compatriot. However should your character respawn, it will be considered knocked out, and you will be required to Roleplay out your character (again Medievac, Withdraw, or even killed should you wish, its up to you). So please be mindful of the team and your buddies.

While in Match, Local will be considered Spoken / Out loud chatter, and the Fleet Channel will be considered Operational Communication Chatter.

Final Results will be considered part of the established Storyline of the guild, either in success or defeat. Each Section will be preceded by a small briefing, and a short De-briefing / Victory Celebration following.

Also, sadly, as this is a SFK event, it will be restricted to KDF aligned Characters. Though non-guild affiliated Characters are welcome.

Hope to see you all there!
((Just Bumping this as a reminder that part one of this is coming up soon, and will be awesome.))

Final Attack Groups assembling at Seedea for Assault on Kern System. May your disruptor be charged, and your blades be sharp. The enemies of the Empire have lived their final days...
