The following is a (incomplete) dictionary of words in the Orion language provided for those who wish for an Orion RP experience similar to that of Klingons or Romulans, cultures that have their own language to draw from. The Orion language has never been constructed in such detail, but using various sources Memory Beta has managed to assemble a small vocabulary. Adding to that work we have invented a few of our own words for use in RP, and although this list is strictly non-canon we like to stick to it for consistency. If you have any new words you wish to create for this collection, let us know and we will add it and start using it with our own characters!
Words that are italicized are beta canon, meaning they are written in books or manuals, while normal bold words are original inventions, more of which will be added as time goes along. As of now there is no alpha (show/film) canon for Orion words.

Back country dialect term for a type of Orion public execution by slow torture to deter others. In an alternate timeline 25th century, Adajia recalled that a Consilium master was going to order mentally incompetent Thad Smith executed by chuulak for dereliction of service to the Consilium Institute.
cluros
'cold' or 'coolness'. Cluros is an Orion code of conduct. For example, to keep one's cluros is to keep one's cool.

'beg'; the act of begging.

'slave'. This is a diminutive of dubyal, or 'contractor'.

F'deraxt'la
A term for the Federation, pronounced as to rhyme with "Federation" in the Trader's Tongue, referring to a person born of three parents, all of whom were related. The adjective form of the noun was f'deraxt'l.

'hutch'. A training house for the lodubyaln.
flars
Word in Orion Trader's Tongue, apparently describing a quality of machismo. The pirate Krulmadden, convinced that there was fissionable material to be plundered on Talin IV, decided that he would take his ship there and "show our flars" to the Starfleet blockade assembled there.
ganzu
The term ganzu seems to translate to 'revenge society'. (plural is also ganzu)
gisjacheh
Possibly a profanity. For example, "this gisjacheh drug" that caused an Orion pirate ship a great deal of misfortune.

'shadow', or less politely, 'hanger-on'.
jul
'on the ground' Used in words like "Jul ukto" to mean 'ground troops' as opposed to naval personnel.

'House of -' This suffix signified a mansion or estate, such as Keroskar, the 'House of Keros'.
kayeri
'harbinger' Most often used as a title or part of titles.
Klong
'the Wall' A term for the Klingons.

An Orion word which means something akin to 'retreat'.

Often used upon agreement of a contract's terms; 'deal' or 'agreed' in the common tongue. Since the act is generally associated with a handshake, it may also be a reference to this more specifically.
