Parallax (April 1st - 7th)

Name: ‘Nasty’ Nick Loxton
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank: Lieutenant
Available Info:

Lieutenant Loxton gained his nickname of ‘nasty’ rather ironically as he has yet to show any ruthlessness or killer instinct towards inferior species. He has been the target of several assassination attempts and smears but has avoided being eliminated thus far due to cunning and deception. His quick action to depose Morand the Mangler raised a few eyebrows in the Empire.

Nasty Nick has recently come under scrutiny by those at Battle Station Argo for his lack of ambition. He’s shown himself capable and cunning but has yet to make a move to advance his career.

Name: Barid Linore, aka “Prophet” or “Prof”
Affiliation: Klingon-Cardassian Alliance / Resistance
Rank/Position: Cell Leader
Additional Info: WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN; PRESUMED DEAD

The son of a handmaiden and personal guard to Intendant Kira, Barid Linore grew up on Cardassia Prime following the ousting of Kira from power. As the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance fell, Barid grew up on stories of Bajor’s prominence as a powerbroker in the Alliance. His experiences as an exile, gripped by the Terrans who were little more than slaves just a few short years before his birth, shaped the young Bajoran. He joined the Cardassian Guard at an early age, rising prominently under the tutelage of Gul Evoc Krisek. By his late forties, Barid was the XO of the Galor-class cruiser Magath, under the command of Gul Krisek’s son, Sigot.

As the Alliance fell to the Terran Empire, Krisek and Barid continued the fight as members of the resistance. As a charismatic figure and cunning tactician, Barid assumed leadership of their resistance cell and operated under the moniker “Prophet.” As the Prophet, Barid was a thorn in the side of the victorious Terran Empire. With the caution of a Cardassian and the brutality of a Klingon, Barid oftentimes toed the line between terrorist and freedom fighter. His use of unorthodox and cruel methods of warfare, combined with his tendency to incur massive civilian casualties during his attacks, has granted him a sort of anti-hero status amongst the remaining Alliance loyalists and fellow Bajorans.

His signature attacks halted abruptly in 2409, where his Hideki-class patrol ship was lost in the Badlands with all hands. His body was never recovered. Sigot Krisek continued his comrade’s legacy as a partisan fighter and as a figurehead for Cardassian fortitude and Alliance revanchism.

Name: Sigot Krisek
Affiliation: Klingon-Cardassian Alliance / Resistance
Rank/Position: Gul (formerly); Cell Leader
Additional Info: INCARCERATED / AWAITING SENTENCING

Sigot Krisek was born on Cardassia Prime to the esteemed Gul Evoc Crisek. Following in his father’s footsteps, he joined the Cardassian Guard to fight for what remained of the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance following the Terran’s rise and rebellion. Rising to the rank of Gul, Crisek went AWOL with his Galor-class cruiser after a series of devastating defeats left the Alliance defenses in shambles. Operating as a resistance cell under his former XO and friend, Barid Linore (aka “Prophet”), the two began a series of high-profile, high casualty attacks on Terran forces, shipping lines, and colonies that lasted for years. The duo, commanding the resistance cell nicknamed “Prophet’s Call” were a brutal pair responsible for heinous crimes against the Terrans, never distinguishing between civilians or military personnel.

Their reign continued until abruptly, in 2409, Barid Linore was presumed dead after a lengthy pursuit into the Badlands cost him his life. Sigot Krisek attempted to continue where the Prophet had left off, but found himself lacking Barid’s charisma and cunning. His brutality only brought him so far and could not mimic the grandiose nature of Prophet’s Call’s previous attacks. Eventually, Terran authorities were able to capture Krisek in a clandestine operation with agents posing as Romulan weapons dealers. He remains in custody awaiting a public trial at Imperial Command’s convenience.

((How do you know she’s evil? Her eye-patch is on her right eye instead of her left… and she’s bald.))

Name: “Ten of Sixteen”
Affiliation: Unbound, formerly Borg Collective
Rank/Position: Speaker Vessel for Tactical Unimatrix 02
Additional Info: Originally part of the vast Borg Consciousness connected to Tactical Unimatrix 02, during an outing performed the Borg Sphere suddenly became disconnected from the Collective’s grasp; leaving the sectioned Hivemind drifting aimlessly in space for some time while plans for the future were debated. Eventually, the Unimatrix decided they would remain disconnected to persue other endeavors; finding a niche in assisting non-Borg in their missions in many forms- their alliance depending entirely on the highest bidder as it were. Why they seem to care for any form of currency is never divulged, but of course many are willing to ignore it so long as they can get the help- and at least as of now…it’s not in the favor of the Empire.

Name: Jasmine De’La Silva
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Station Grunt
Additional Info: The child of a Romulan and Terran who found some sort of love between one another…somehow, Jasmine was swiftly found out by Terran Officials and removed from her parents who- expectedly, were gotten rid of; placing the considered abomination into the Terran Workforce to handle the heavy-lifting and mindless labor; at some point being transferred to Battlestation Argo for…the exact same thing, just different scenery and a few more beatings. Given how long she’s been in the labor force she does have some “sway” but it could hardly be considered for much other than maybe getting an extra ration.

Name: Serris Zital
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Commander, Executive Officer, I.S.S. Mariner (NCC-74671)
Additional Info: H’Tarrans are valued by the Empire for their immense physical strength and durability, making them ideal ground troops. Refugees from the Gamma Quadrant were immediately conscripted into the Terran Rebellion upon their arrival in 2382. Their assistance was invaluable in capturing key agricultural colonies for the Empire.

Serris Zital hails from a family of artistic gymnasts. However, the brutal nature of his species’ new home and the reality of their situation forced them to take up mixed martial arts in order to ensure their future. Serris had originally made a name for himself in underground interspecies cage fights against Gorn opponents. His immense physical strength and acrobatic flair earned him a reputation that was quickly picked up on by the Imperial Navy, who recruited him into the security program.

Serris earned a promotion to Executive Officer of the Mariner after the ship was ambushed and nearly taken over by Alliance forces led by the House of G’roth. Just as their Captain was about to plunge her Mek’leth into Captain Pryce’s heart, Serris picked her up by her ankle and dislocated her leg in two places by swinging her overhead into the command deck railing, resulting in her immediate death by severing her spine.

The overwhelming brutality and floaty elegance of his fighting style, juxtaposed against his short, unassuming stature, has earned him notoriety amongst his fellow officers and Alliance agents. If there’s one person in the sector you wouldn’t want to pick a fight with, it would be him.
