Parallax (March 28 - April 1)

Once a scientific and historical oddity, the parallel universe often described as being a mirror of our own has recently taken center stage. Alternate versions of many of us may exist in this Mirror Universe, leading radically different lives. When every choice is a potential fork in the road, there’s no telling how each of our lives could have turned out under different circumstances. A harsh dictator might exist as a freedom fighter. A vocal pacifist might exist as a sociopathic murderer. It’s possible that some of us were never even born.

In the Mirror Universe, Earth is the center of the Terran Empire. The Imperial Starfleet is a ruthless organization which condones brutal tactics, torture, and murder. It rules over a large portion of the galaxy with an iron fist. Non-Terrans are generally considered second-class citizens, at best. While some may be allowed to join Starfleet, very few ever manage any significant advancement.

The Empire suffered a significant blow when Emperor Wesley Crusher’s plans for interdimensional conquest were thwarted. His defeat left a power vacuum that saw the admiralty of the Imperial Starfleet at each others’ throats for months, eventually resulting in the crowning of Empress Leeta. With the Empire stabilizing internally, the Empress has once again turned her attention to matters of grand conquest.

Despite the grander plans of the Emperor, the Terran Empire remains in a persistent state of war with the remains of the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Though the Alliance offers far more opportunities and freedoms to its alien member races, its treatment of Terrans (and those loyal to them) is little better than the Terrans themselves would show any other ‘aliens’. In recent years the Alliance’s power has waned significantly in the face of the Empire’s resurgence and aggression, focusing on avoidance and subterfuge rather than engaging the Terrans in open warfare. Many Alliance loyalists have flocked to the growing Coalition, a more militant offshoot faction with the stated goal of once again overthrowing the Terran Empire.

Audience: Mirror Universe Characters

Attendance:  OPEN  - Anyone can attend on any character.

RP Format: Social / Freeform / System (TBA)

Setting: Various

Starting Point: The Mirror Universe, of course!

OOC Beginning at the start of alpha shift on Friday, March 28th, the fleet holdings will be reserved for Mirror Universe RP. The event is not limited to the Terran Empire. Everyone is free to determine which faction, if any, their character is affiliated with (and it doesn’t have to be the same as the prime universe!). The overall event will wrap up at delta shift on Tuesday, April 1st.

The fleet starbase will be Battle Station 13, headquarters of the Imperial 38th Battlefleet. The embassy will be reserved for use by members of the Mirror Romulan faction. The KDF starbase will be available to Alliance/Coalition characters, though members should feel free to set up Alliance/Coalition-based RP in any other location accessible by their OOC faction (KDF starship bridge, anyone?!).

Please note: This entire event takes place in the Mirror Universe. If you have any questions about this, please contact staff for clarification.

FYI – There is a parallax tag on the forums that you can add to any MU-related posts. You can also use the tag to view MU posts from years past.

Situation Update

Thanks to its role in the failed invasion of the Prime Universe, the infighting that followed, and the loss of a major battle station to insurrection two years ago, the 38th Battlefleet remains a less-than-prestigious posting within the Imperial Starfleet.

It has been a year since the elderly Admiral Robert Murphy was inexplicably assigned as Battlefleet Commander on the eve of retirement. Surprisingly, “Admiral Bob,” as he is often derisively referenced, has shown no intention of stepping down and is receiving a great deal of credit for rebuilding the 38th’s reputation. While the unceremonious disappearances of personnel shortly after displays of disloyalty, carelessness, or wastes of resources might normally lend credence to the Admiral’s effectiveness, his amiable nature has led some to wonder if he isn’t the real driving force behind the fleet. After all, his arrival coincided with the equally surprising appointments of two relatively junior officers to prominent roles. Commodore Vee Williams is the Battlefleet’s Executive Officer, while Captain “Subject Four” commands the Battle Station - having risen from Lieutenant Commander and Lieutenant respectively, in the span of only a few months.

The Battlefleet’s general success has been undercut by persistent raids and sabotage by both the Alliance and the Coalition. Failure to eliminate the local Coalition forces adds insult to injury - it is comprised primarily of supporters of former-Admiral Perim, a former commander of the 38th who tried and failed to claim the Terran throne and subsequently led a rebellion of the fleet’s alien workers.

Mirror Universe Characters

To help make the most of this event, this thread is being left open for anyone who wants to make a brief post of who their characters are in the mirror universe! Ideally, this’ll be info that we can all use ICly, so we can dive right into the event with shortened introductions. If you’re interested, you’re more than welcome to post about your characters, even if you/they won’t be able to make the event!

For those of you who participated last year, this is the perfect opportunity to tell us what your character’s been up to since then.

A template is available if you’d like to use it.

Name: Character Name
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Captain, ISS Guy Fieri
Additional Info: Born in Flavortown.

I’ll post my own characters below as an example to help get things started.

For those of you who are new to MU Weekend(+) and as a reminder for everyone else, Argo’s usual Character and Story Policy is suspended for the duration of this event. The only restrictions are as follows:

  • You may not RP as your prime universe character in our mirror universe setting without prior approval.

  • Terran Starfleet characters must be members of the 38th Battlefleet and ranked Captain or below. All other affiliations are fair game.

  • Be considerate of others. (ie. if more than one person wants the same position, talk it out and find a compromise).

  • Resolve conflicts OOCly; avoid godmoding. (In a setting where things like assassinations and torture are commonplace, it’s doubly important to make sure you’re not forcing someone else’s character in a direction that player doesn’t want to go.)

  • Don’t be a jerk!

Name: Neema Perim
Affiliation: Coalition
Rank/Position: Fugitive - Formerly Terran Admiral and Commander of the 38th Battlefleet
Additional Info: Despite her Trill heritage, Perim rose through the Terran ranks very quickly. Her attitudes and mannerisms were as close to Terran as an alien could hope to emulate. As an officer and later Admiral, she was incredibly effective and utterly ruthless in the execution of her missions. While uncouth rumors swirled about her meteoric rise to the admiralty, the truth of her powerbase was eventually revealed to be thanks in large part to her secret cultivation of non-Terran supporters within the ranks - including an order of powerful telepathic aliens that she used to stay one step ahead of her Terran competitors.

With the failures of Emperor Crusher’s designs for the Prime Universe, Perim was one of many high ranking Terran officers who saw the opportunity to make a play for power. In her announcement claiming the throne, Perim promised positions of power and responsibility to those who would support her, most notably including a controversial message to all aliens within the Empire: Join my cause, she said, and earn a better place in life for all non-Terrans. The resulting conflict saw huge numbers of Perim’s supporters wiped out and led to the destruction of Battle Station Argo.

The notorious former-Admiral fled the destruction with a handful of ships and a fraction of her powerbase. She has remained near the top of the Empire’s most wanted list and is frequently blamed for everything from industrial sabotage to malfunctioning replicators. After two years of laying low and building support, Perim’s forces have once again emerged under the flag of the Coalition, leading numerous raids against Terran holdings.

Name: James Kermit
Affiliation: None
Rank/Position: Civilian
Additional Info: Not every Terran was liberated when O’Brien began his revolution on Terok Nor. Kermit grew up in an Alliance labor camp on Qo’nos, and records of his life and activities until very recently are spotty at best.

Kermit’s periodic visits to Terran starbases, trading interesting and valuable goods and services for Latinum, have even become something to look forward to for many of those stationed in the area. At the very least, most seem to tolerate the distraction of his presence.

Name: Seres Avlin
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Deputy Chief Engineer, Battle Station 13
Additional Info: This Bajoran Lieutenant Commander has a checkered history. She has been repeatedly reprimanded for insufficient ruthlessness and was once stripped of her commission following an attempt to assassinate a superior officer. She was a participant in Perim’s “revolution”, but did not flee with the former Admiral. Instead, she spent the intervening years clawing out a meager place for herself as a maintenance technician on various starship assignments around the battlefleet. With the activation of the new Battle Station last year, Seres somehow managed to get herself granted a new commission and quickly rose to a position of some minor prominence.

Name: Kirina t’Nalah
Affiliation: Tal Shiar
Rank/Position: Colonel
Additional Info: A vocal proponent of Romulan isolationism, this Tal Shiar Colonel specializes in ensuring public loyalty. In addition to her ‘hands-on’ work, she often serves in advisory roles to politicians and high-ranking Naval Officers.

Name: Merrick Stray
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Lieutenant, 38th Battlefleet Administration
Additional Info: From his office on Battle Station 13, this underachieving accountant dutifully tallies and records every atrocity. From your energy credits allotments to your reeducation budgets, it’s a safe bet that if you use currency or resources of any kind in the 38th, it first crossed the desk of Stray or someone like him.

Name: Vee Williams (Born Vemok)
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Commodore/XO of the 38th Battlefleet
Additional Info: His mother, T’ven, was a fighter with the Coalition when she was captured and enslaved by Captain Meron Williams, heir to a proud line of Imperial Starfleet Williams’. A year or two later, and T’ven discovered she was pregnant. Not wanting her child to be raised as a Terran, she fled captivity, seeking to re-join the Coalition. It took several months, but Meron eventually located her, having utilised agony booths liberally in his search after finding out she was pregnant with his child. Once he defeated the Coalition outpost she was sheltering in, he found her cradling a young boy. He executed her, taking the child to be raised as Terran. He had already been named by his mother, Vemok, a Vulcan name, which Meron found disgusting, and forced the boy to go by Vee instead, making that his given name on official record. Captain Williams was killed by Prime Universe ‘terrorists’ when they assaulted Terra Spacedock. Vee, meanwhile, had been working through the ranks, his visual Vulcan hereditary holding him back somewhat. But his augmented strength often made up for that, landing him the rank of Lieutenant Commander after surviving two assassination attempts. His father had made many enemies in his time, and so Vee was assigned to the 38th Fleet, as something of a punishment detail. He was present on BS13 for a short time before his transferal to the command of Captain Mohadeb. His time aboard the ISS Regular Ship was not a long one, serving as Captain Mohadeb’s most trusted. He attempted to retrieve an artifact, brutally beating Crewman Seres, but was unable to locate it. He also ended up entirely distrustful of the Vulcan slave known as Hand. Not long into his service aboard the Regular Ship, it was destroyed by enemy forces, and Vee found himself returned to the Battlestation for a short time before Field Marshal Aluk’s arrival, at which time he was promoted from Lieutenant Commander to Commodore, and made Executive Officer of the 38th Battlefleet. Shortly after, an ally of his family arrived, granting Vee command of a prototype cruiser, the ISS Bloodwrath. As XO, he was granted command of a Lexington-class, the ISS Olympic, which serves as his public flagship, with the Bloodwrath kept hidden by crew loyal purely to him. There have been rumours that the elderly Admiral Murphy is in fact merely a puppet to the ambitious Commodore, but that has yet to be proven, although it is somewhat telling that Vee has apparently made no moves against Murphy.

Name: M’krav, son of Tek’mel
Affiliation: Coalition/Alliance
Rank/Position: N/A
Additional Info: A Klingon, born in a Terran labour camp, he was raised with the secret recitals of ancient Klingon songs, both his parents having been captured as the Terran Empire re-conquered the galaxy after O’brien’s revolution. He remained subservient, as far as a Klingon can, for most of his life, until his family was slaughtered by camp Overseer for a minor infraction - in truth, they had done nothing, the Overseer simply hated Klingons. In a fit of rage, he killed the Overseer, taking the man’s uniform and freeing the rest of the camp, stealing the attached cruiser and runabouts to escape. The life of a commander was not for him, though, and he soon enough found his way to the Alliance along with some of the others that had been liberated, the rest scuttling the ship and hiding on a planet deep in the fringes of the Empire. With his loss, he fortified himself with the stories he’d been told as a child, switching his Terran slave-number for a name of legends - M’krav. With the Coalition, he has run several attacks on Terran installations at the edges of their influence, some even successful, but from each one he escapes. As such, he’s built something of a reputation within the Coalition. He has also been known to work with the Alliance when needed, always to strike a blow against the accursed Terran scum.

Name: Elizabeth Callahan
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Terran Inquisition
Additional Info: Given the chaos that ensued in her short absence, Inquisitor Callahan has been redeployed to her former post with the 38th Fleet. Her time away has evidently done nothing to soften her demeanor around potential enemies of the empire, and given the recent slave revolt fomented by a non-Terran officer the Inquisition is sure to have no shortage of work ahead of them in the fractious fleet.

Name: Cheddar
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Captain, I.S.S. Baskin
Additional Info: Following his brief tenure as Supreme Commander of Battle Station 13 Captain Cheddar has been licking his wounds, occasionally literally, and consolidating his power among what remains of the battlefleet. The frequent raids by Alliance and now Coalition forces have not made this an easy task, not has the renewed Inquisition presence.

Name: Nouahn tr’Ennei
Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire
Rank/Position: ‘Liason’
Additional Info: The Romulan Empire is no stranger to unassuming figures stalking the halls of power for unclear purposes. Whether they be representatives of House interests lobbying amongst the halls of the Senate or agents of shadier agendas working to their own ends, their presence is almost expected wherever Imperial decision makers can be found. The man they call Nouahn is just another such interested party, lingering at the fringes of the Senate.

Name: Sii’Yasha Yira
Affiliation: Sh’Varan Slavers Guild
Rank/Position: Apex, S.S. Bastet
Additional Info: One Terran’s slave rebellion is another Sh’Varan slaver’s business opportunity. Sii’Yasha sees only profit in restocking the Terran Empire’s supply of laborers, and no doubt the S.S. Bastet and it’s constant flow of ‘supplies’ has become a welcome sight amid the 38th Fleet, even if a spike in demand has driven up prices.

Name: D’Kera Mandukar
Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire
Rank/Position: Civilian
Additional Info: From her most recent postcards D’Kera and her husband Siras have been enjoying their sabbatical touring the seas of Mol’Rihan in their refurbished sailboat. Her missives include a glowing review of a Reunificationist retreat on the D’Vetrias peninsula, and their locally crafted Vulcan port wine.

Name: Jalme tr’Nai
Affiliation: Pirate
Rank/Position: Executive Officer, S.S. Kihai
Additional Info: One of many brigands and opportunists to converge on this contested sector, Jalme has been an infrequent visitor to BS13 over the past year. Rumors from Romulan space suggest he was once a military officer, but left the service decades ago for reasons unknown. Only time will tell whether he and his vessel can be of use to anybody but themselves.

Name: KLIN_ZHA_MASTER (alias)
Affiliation: Klingon-Cardassian Alliance
Rank/Position: Unknown
Additional Info: The identity of the Alliance propagandist who publishes under the pseudonym “KLIN_ZHA_MASTER” is a secret highly sought-after by Starfleet Intelligence. Although the suspect H’ajah, daughter of Shal was apprehended and executed last year, the persona’s prolific output has continued unabated. Speculation that the pseudonym may be used by a network of writers or perhaps even an artificial intelligence remains unconfirmed at this time.

Name: Lanat
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Petty Officer, Second Class; BS13 Security
Additional Info: Born in a backwater agrarian community on Irtok, Lanat decided early that she would not be satisfied with the life that lay ahead if she had stayed. She fled her homeworld at 15 and got into a series of increasingly dire scrapes as she zig-zagged across the alpha and beta quadrants over the next few years. After a particularly close call left her marked for death Drozana, Lanat enlisted with the Terran Starfleet to get away.

As one of the numerous non-human foot soldiers making up the front line of the Empire’s might, Lanat has served for seven years as a bodyguard, enforcer, and general-purpose thug. She has a keen sense for which way the political winds are blowing and will not stick her neck out if she can help it.

Name: Laro Nazair
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Sergeant First Class, BS13 Security (AWOL)
Additional Info: Hailing from a colony world of hardy settlers, the Bajoran noncommissioned officer Laro Nazair used to be a tough and dependable member of Battlestation Argo’s tactical response team. He fled the destruction of the station two years ago and never reported for duty thereafter. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Name: Mohadeb
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Captain, Starfleet Intelligence
Additional Info: All in all, Mohadeb is lucky to be alive. His highly public feud with Duchess Lauren Varley last year very nearly cost him his life, and his movements since that time are known only to the highest eschelons of Starfleet Intelligence. However, an Adamant-class heavy raider appearing in Starfleet’s ship registers as the I.S.S. Revenge Ship has no listed commanding officer and is conducting an unspecified special assignment.

Deceased

Name: Mossic Khet
Affiliation: Klingon-Cardassian Alliance
Rank/Position: Slave (DECEASED)
Additional Info: This Cardassian slave took part in Admiral Perim’s treasonous uprising, and is rumored to have been part of the guerrilla strike force that took control of the old station’s main reactor shortly before it overloaded. Whether the destruction of the station was the result of deliberate sabotage or rank incompetence will probably never be known, but this has not prevented Alliance propaganda from painting Khet as a martyr for the cause.

Name: Sivath
Affiliation: Unknown
Rank/Position: Slave (DECEASED)
Additional Info: This Vulcan engineer murdered an Imperial Admiral with a plasma torch. He was arrested, but did not survive the ensuing interrogation. His true allegiance and motives for this shocking and cowardly assassination remain a mystery.

Name: Alistair Nimitz
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Praetor of Tzeketh, military governor
Additional Info: Governor Nimitz has spent much of the past year expanding his sphere of political influence among the Terran Empire, his fingers having been felt across the Empire as the new Jurati A600 Security synths have become highly requested for loyal Imperial leaders and installations.

Rumors begin to swirl that the Governor intends to begin seeking a leadership position among the Council of Governors, perhaps even as High Chancellor. Emerging from the recent civil war as a nonpartisan leader dedicated to the greater good of the Empire and its people. There are still some who wonder behind heavy closed doors where his true intentions will lead the Empire should he be allowed success.

More publicly however, it seems the Governor has set his eyes upon Andoria, funneling large funds through the System and the local population, the intent of his goals are speculated to range from simple love for his wife Trellain, to those wondering if its a sign of an attempt to buy the planet out from under the ruling Governor…

Name: Tim
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: MACO Team 99, Sergeant
Additional Info: Tim has an unremarkable record of service, outside of still being alive within the MACOs after five years of service, which is no small feat given the recent invasion of the other universe and the civil war that followed.

His current posting is onboard the ISS Surprise, a light cruiser assigned to the 38th Battlefleet.

Name: Aurelia t’Veras
Affiliation: Romulan Star Empire
Rank/Position: Senator
Additional Info: Aurelia t’Veras was once an effective shadow agent in the Tal Shiar, snaring disloyal traitors and bringing them to justice, before an assignment to infiltrate and take down an underground religious movement affected her so deeply it caused her to change sides. After a time as one of the foremost theologians, thinkers and assassins in the underground movement, she built a network of disaffected Houses to advance what she sees as the true destiny of all Romulans. Over the past decade, the movement has grown so strong that she was recently elected to the Imperial Senate on harnessing perfectly logical anti-Terran feelings, which stem from Neema Perim’s slaughter of her firstborn child ten years ago. Some say she has the very power of the Fire Element itself…

Name: Ansha McNabb ( x Ansha Wind-People)
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: slave conscripted hairdresser
Additional Info: After her mama died she kept the salon, You-Niquely You, going until someone decided that this alien didn’t deserve to have her own business, and a particular commanding officer needed a hair dresser (and other duties as assigned).

Name: Captain Vonn “Iron Cross” Reese
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Commanding Officer of the ISS Marrets
Additional Info: With his cybernetic enhancements, which some consider cheating and “inhuman”, he is tough as nails and hard to kill. He, however, stands as a loyal commander to the Empire, so as long as he can hold on to power onboard the Marrets, the empire backs him. He is a team player after all.

Name: Heidi
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: slave consort of Captain Reese
Additional Info: Her mother is a famed freedom fighter for the coalition. She however was taken from her mother as a baby by her human father. Life on Earth is rough when you are an alien. Her only option was to sign on as Captain Vonn Reese’s personal stress relief.

Hmm… I wonder though, why do they look at each other like that. Does he love her? Nah, no way THE Iron Cross Reese would be in love with that… alien.

Name: Evoch Khaiell Rhadai.
Affiliation: RSE
Rank/Position: dead
Additional Info: He died in an attempt to sabotage Consul Nathes’ mission.

Name: Jeiliscia Valusia
Affiliation: Orion Syndicate, Valante’ Valusia Kar
Rank/Position: Second High Sister.
Additional Info: What she doesn’t kill, she either tortures or uses for pleasure. Sometimes all three.

Name: Serah Grant
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Commander
Additional Info: Considered one of the Empire’s most brilliant minds in star ship and weapons development, and credited with the modernization of the fleet prior to the invasion of the prime universe. She was an essential part of studying portal technology during the early phases of the Emperor’s push into the prime universe; after this failed invasion Serah Grant was listed MIA with rumours spreading over her potential assassination by the emperor’s inner circle after her usefulness had come to and end, to potentially being simply left behind as their fleets fled back into the mirror universe.

As it would turn out she had survived the destruction of the ISS Artemis and somehow made her way back to the Empire, unclear if she had managed to return from the Prime Universe or simply went into hiding in the fallout of the Emperor’s defeat waiting and plotting for a more advantageous situation to unfold. Her time away from empire has led to her old position and many of her old projects falling into the hands of her lessers forcing the resourceful Serah Grant to look to new alliances to fund her future weapon and ship development.

Serah Grant despite her brilliant mind and natural talent has never made any real push to advance her station beyond her former position within the corps of engineering; only engaging in what she often called “tiresome Imperial chest pounding” to assure her position was secure from potential rivals or other threats to her projects. She is known by those who interact with her as a cold and emotionless sort; lacking the passion and ambition of her peers and only caring about her work and how people around her can be manipulated to ensure it’s completion.

Name: Renaah Felenn
Affiliation: Coalition/Rebellion
Rank/Position: Captain, Freighter Naroa
Additional Info: Jelna Rigelian born on Cardassia in the final years of Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. Joined the anti-Terran resistance some time between 2409 and 2415. Imperial Intelligence has little information on his participation in the Coalition’s guerilla war and confrontations. It is believed he’s involved more in arms and other supplies’ smuggling for the Coalition and other groups who oppose the Imperial authority, as well as providing various technological solutions to Coalition forces, given his background in starship engineering. As of 2423, his exact whereabouts are unknown except that he operates in the Alpha Quadrant beyond Cardassian territory and Zenas Expanse.

Name: Iana Vel
Affiliation: Terran Empire Traitor
Rank/Position: Captain, ISS Aegis
Additional Info: Younger sister to Lunya Wrenn who was killed by Iana during a swimming competition. Iana gained notoriety by publicly denouncing the Terran Empire, and took the ISS Forrestal with her. Iana specialized in convoy raids and hitting unsuspecting Terran Empire vessels in order to steal the supplies she needed.

Recently, the ISS Forrestal was destroyed due to a warp core breach that was suspected to be sabotage. Iana and her loyal survivors boarded and captured the ISS Aegis, and Iana now commands that vessel. Due to the lack of fighter facilities, the Aegis takes part in more aggressive raids against the Terran Empire.

Iana has yet to make face to face contact with any of the factions opposing the Terran Empire. It is yet to be seen how this will play out!

Name: Arthur Pendragon
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Inquisitor. CMDR. ISS You Can’t Hide
Additional Info: A little older than Prime Arthur, Arthur Alter is gifted with the same memory, as well as full use of the empathetic abilities of his El-Aurian blood. He was recruited into the Empire early, and quickly showed himself to be very capable of sniffing out enemies of the Empire that could be hiding in the Empire itself. He also earned himself the nickname ‘Blood Red Dragon’ for taking direct action against the traitors himself.

He quickly rose in the ranks and power, taking command of a Hydra-class intel destroyer when he was brought deeper into Imperial Starfleet, specifically with the Inquisition. The starship was renamed the ISS You Can’t Hide in recognition of Arthur being able to track down his enemies.

Name: Thomas Cutter
Affiliation: Himself/Coalition
Rank/Position: Captain, Freighter Spirit
Additional Info: Cutter was born on Luna, but never stayed there for too long. As his parents were Privateers, he adopted that as well. He tries to stay out of any conflict, but as he grows older, he feels the need to help those who helped him when he needed money, which was the coalition. He spends his days transporting good around between planets, occasionally smuggling goods of various kinds around for the Coalition.

Name: Rain Valeros

Name: Trellain De Drowvani Nimitz
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Captain, ISS Scharnhorst
Additional Info: Trellain Drowvani was not present during the slave revolt on BS13. Busy doing patrols in her Lexington class ship, purloined during the MU invasion. While others were suffering fall out from the slave rebellion, Trellain was cementing her position and relaitionship with Alistair Nimitz. While keeping her own record and motives pristine to the Imperial Inquisitors, by hunting down any stragglers of the slave revolt or pockets of rebellion. With her marriage to Alistair Nimitz, and new command, Trellain is ready to turn her blades on any new enemies to the Empire.

Name: Tyrstoc “One-Eye”
Affiliation: Terran Empire, Special Weapons Offworld Retaliation Directive, Alien Reserve Militia or “S.W.O.R.D. A.R.M.”
Rank/Position: Commander, Squad Leader
Additional Info: A zealous conscript from the long-ago conquered Rigel system. The very model of the exceptional vicious, loyal competence required for an “alien” to carve out a place for themselves in the Empire. Notorious leader of a ruthlessly effective kill squad made up of other non-humans useful in slaking the endless Terran bloodthirst. Mocked for his blinded “spirit eye,” though not often to his face. At least not twice. He (mostly) does what he is told: go where the Empire points and kill who it points at. And he loves his job.

Name: H’Ltol Sh’ow
Affiliation: Terran Empire, Sh’ow Family
Rank/Position: Captain, I.S.S. Claw
Additional Info: Originally born and raised on Cait, and raised to be a marine for the empire like others in his litter to help act as a show of Loyalty for the Sh’ow family to the Emperor.

H’Ltol quickly gained a reputation for being an effective and somewhat ruthless fighter, both in hand to hand and ship combat during his training. With H’Ltol then quickly being scooped up at the age of twenty four, by Commadore James Carter of the 2nd Battle Fleet, to act as the head of his personal body guard, placed at the head of a elite unit of troops and strangely given the rank of Lieutenant Commander and a berth on the I.S.S. Puncture the Commadores vessel of choice, a Monitor class ship.

During his time as the Commadore’s body guard not only did he help put down a handful of rebellions, including one on Cait, he also stopped a number of attempts on the Commadores life, with him being rewarded with the rank of Commander. This unlikely promotion in rank was soon explained when H’Ltol, discovered an attempt to betray the empire by the Commadore with the Commadore hoping to use H’Ltol’s seeming loyalty to him, as a way of ensuring H’Ltol’s support with his treacherous actions, H’Ltol however wasted no time in ending. He killed the Commadore for his plans, as well as took command of the Puncture for himself, before renaming it the I.S.S. Claw and transferring into the 38th Battlefleet, to better make use of his new posting and crew, whilst at times he has to fight off attempts on his life, he knew this would happen and is often quick to put his crew back in their place.

Name: K’Rurin M’Tow
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Engineer, BS13
Additional Info: K’Rurin was raised in a slave camp under the Terran empire due to his grandfather’s attempts to help overthrow the Emperor of the empire, with the M’Tow family being punished as a result.

From a young age K’Rurin displayed a natural talent for engineering, which was soon spotted by the guards in camp, resulting in K’Rurin being taken away from his family and placed into a Terran Families care with the understanding he was more of a helpful slave or house pet than a person.

At the age of twenty K’Rurin was granted permission to enroll in engineer training and join into Starfleet, however he was never granted a full ensign rank, due to his families past transgressions against the empire, instead posted to BS13 once the station was restored and his training complete, with him often working away quietly and obeying orders out of fear he will be returned to the camp he was first raised in.

Name: M’ikke Nasi
Affiliation: Himself
Rank/Position: Trader Captain, Freighter Wild Cat
Additional Info: Born on Cait, and with his mother and father fled Cait in the confusion that followed Emperor Crusher’s defeat, M’ikki was then taken to a remote world that for a time was as peaceful as possible given current events, he was raised only to think of himself and family, with this belief re-enforced after a run in with Imperial security during what should have been a routine trading run to Cait, where him and his family where arrested and questioned, before his parents where killed for refusing to sign a document which had them confess to treason against the empire.

After the death of his parents M’ikke was thrown into a forced labor camp, where he often had to fight to survive, barely making it through each day. Just however as he wondered if he would ever get out of the camp, there was a Coalition attack on the camp he was in, and seeing an opportunity he escaped with the group, and once he made it clear he had no plans to join their little band of merry aliens, he departed.

Soon stealing himself a new freighter and starting up his families trading business once again, this time however he is often more careful about dealing with anything with Terran Empire markings, whilst he does sometimes visit BS13, he does so as little as he can and never talks to any Terrans unless he has to, preferring the low ranking non-Terran company.

Additional Info: Born to an altogether insignificant family on a small mining facility of little to no note, Ensign ch’ithalrit has managed to prove his usefulness just enough to scrape by in the Empire without too much trouble.
He’s spent the last year trying to secure his place in the 38th after his transfer there. The oftentimes outwardly cold and stoic Andorian has begun to make a name for himself with his efficiency and technical knowhow, along with his ability to follow orders while keeping his mouth shut.
Though through both hearing stories of, and his own limited firsthand experience of the Coalition’s recent activity, the Ensign has found the temptation to make his foolish dreams of a ‘grand exit’ from the Imperial Starfleet in favour of the Coalition that much harder to resist. Moreso if he could find an accomplice he could trust to join him in such a leap…

Name: S’cha T’aihn Sadaann
Affiliation: Terran Empire
Rank/Position: Lieutenant Commander
Additional Info: From slave to officer, this young Vulcan has found comfort within the Empire, carrying out the admiralty’s dirty work in exchange for imperial luxuries. Raised amongst the gangs and syndicates of M’Talas Prime, life within the empire was marginally any different from living amongst the low-life thugs and ruffians of M’Talas, the only distinguishing variable being the color-coordinated uniforms. After all the Terran Empire could be seen as just another criminal organization, it just had bigger guns.

After claiming the rank of Lieutenant Commander from the cold, lifeless corpse of one traitorous half-Vulcan officer, detailed(somewhat) here. Sadaann had left BS13 a runt and returned a suspiciously high ranked officer. With the credit of the I.S.S. Petit Caporal’s reacquisition being taken by some conceited captain.
