Regarding New STO Content

Please remember that Argo will generally recognize official content through either an ICly posted news report or RP Event, some time after the actual release. Our goal is to ensure a consistent universe, so it takes us some time to fully review the content and consider the possible implications of it for our ongoing RP. Depending on the nature of the content this may sometimes mean waiting until all of the missions in an arc have been released.

As always, we're asking all members to please be patient, and remember not to incorporate or reference the new content in your RP until you've seen how and when we'll be implementing it into Argo's canon. For your convenience, we'll now be maintaining a list in this post of recent STO updates that we have not recognized yet. Please note this list will not include minor content such as lore blogs that will eventually be canonized alongside the appropriate major content.

Hi guys!

With this week's patch, we'll be getting some interesting new content in-game. Please remember that Argo will generally recognize official content through either an ICly posted news report or RP Event, some time after the actual release. Our goal is to ensure a consistent universe, so it takes us some time to fully review the content and consider the possible implications of it for our ongoing RP. Depending on the nature of the content this may sometimes mean waiting until all of the missions in an arc have been released.

As always, we're asking all members to please be patient, and remember not to incorporate or reference the new content in your RP until you've seen how and when we'll be implementing it into Argo's canon. Specific to this patch, this includes the battlezone, new pve queues, the featured episode, and any other mention of the Tzenkethi as a current threat or galactic issue.


You'll also notice that the Alpha Quadrant map has been expanded with several new sectors. Thankfully, these don't conflict in any way with Argo's story, so you can feel free to retcon/assume that it's always been that way.

Just a quick question!

Since the Tzenkethi have been around for some time, and the Federation has even had a war with them in the past, characters might have knowledge of them, not as a threat or enemy, but as a political entity and a species. Would it be safe to use the STO look of the Tzenkethi (big, four-arms, etc) as canon?

Uhm, just an opinion of course, but I think everyone know the Tzenkethi. Not of course thanks to a face to face encounter, but thanks to the history books or rumors, someone can have an idea of the Tzenkethi. But it is just an opinion :d

Yes, I think this is a perfectly legitimate item to canonize.

We're not quite ready to canonize the most recent episode itself, but it definitely makes sense to assume the on record appearance is what STO has put in.

Bumping this for the impending release of another featured episode. Please remember that Sunrise and Stormbound are the most recent STO-canon events we've recognized, to date.

Another featured episode release, another bump! Thank you all for your continued patience while we determine how best to incorporate the recent STO stories into the fleet canon.

Everyone please take a moment to read the rewritten first post of this thread. I know you're all excited to get involved with the new expansion, but please don't jump the gun.

As of this bump, Scylla and Charybdis is the most recent canonized episode. Information regarding what's actually happening behind closed doors leading up to the new expansion should not yet be common/public knowledge. Please take care when making assumptions about the direction of the game's storyline.

Question about Jemmy's and the fleet however, will we be doing much in the same as with the delta recruits if the oh so rumoured Gamma Recruit event will be happening. Will said toons be allowed to join the fleet in a temporary basis to make use of fleet assets (and the possible join a fleet bonus thing).

I'll prod the bear for the further question about RP'ing AS them, but I realise we will have to wait for content context before that discussion truly happens.

Without having a definitive answer for you yet, I will say that we're currently discussing both of those subjects and a variety of associated possibilities.
