A subspace message arrived from the palace of her Majesty the Queen of Wigg.
The message contains several coded messages recovered by Romulan Republic patrols believed to be a Tal Shiar cipher which possibly implies there may be a listening post somewhere within the system.
Along with this several Romulan disruptors were removed from two natives claiming to represent a revolutionary group amassing to oppose the Queen's reign. The disruptors were not traced back to any source. But the coinciding of this, along with the captured data is a cause for concern.
Several of the Queen's contacts also reported a spread on false rumours being spread by the Queen, such dishonesty is not known to be a trait among the natives, so the influence of a spy is suspected.
The report also contained information on the Queen's amada, which were planning to enter the system, and find the listening post.
the fleet is comprised of only four ships, three ships of native design, using early warp technology and weapons as given as a gift of goodwill by the federation
and the flagship of the fleet, the Wiggian starship Hwibble is a Mogai Warbird of Romulan rebublic design.
Alone the Queen fears the royal amada would be greatly outmatched if the listening post were to be guarded. Which is why she has called upon the federation to assist.

After just momentarily receiving your report, containing what I take to be the evidence I requested, I would like to just express greatly the importance on the reliability of the results/findings. As I expressed to Ensign Wimble, your representative aboard 'Argo I believe, the Prime Directive usually incapacitates any involvement with other cultures and their natural progression through life, however due to your concerns with the Romulans and Tal' Shiar - The suppression and interference with your people may be at greater stake than imagined.
It would only take yet another miss understanding to cause an outbreak among the allied Romulans and Federation officers we have aboard Outpost Argo, something thankfully I am told to be settling down again. Please understand that we can't just jump alongside with star-ships and other military effort if it turns out your sources aren't as reliable as perhaps you initially thought. With your permission, your Majesty, I would like to perhaps send a small team of federation investigators, only three at the max - who also wont interfere with your daily planet routines - so they may weigh up the situation.
Commodore Ashworth has shown signs that he is considering what you have requested, but due to the constraints of our Federation, only if the evidence can be proven solid enough to risk involving the Federation in such matters with the Romulans.
