![]() |
The Sienov is a T’liss Bird-of-Prey under the command of Romulan mercenary Captain Atilla Rejok, and is operated by his assorted crew of fellow mercenaries. Initially stock outfitted, the Sienov has seen a multitude of modifications over its commission that see it fit to fill several unique, specialized roles.
History
Despite the intervention of Kirk's Enterprise and subsequent destruction of the first Romulan bird-of-prey to cross the Neutral Zone, the incident that had revealed the Balance of Terror of the 2260s had proven to the Star Empire that the then V8-class, now known as the T'liss class, would more than suffice in launching the Empire's next campaign, with the aim of reestablishing itself as a major power in the quadrant.
I.R.W. Sienov
The I.R.W. Sienov would be amongst the first fleet of these new bird-of-preys. Highly innovative for the time, Sienov would be commissioned into the RSE in the 2270s under the command of Commander Giellun Ethien from 2276-2312. Following Commander Giellun’s transfer to Legate as a result of the Tomed Incident of 2311 and its subsequent Treaty of Algeron, command of the I.R.W would fall to Commander-General Raha Rejok, upon special request. The Commander-General seeing the Sienov through the 23rd and the start of the 24th centuries.
During one of the Commander-General’s extended paternity leaves, the I.R.W. Sienov would be left under the supervision of the bird-of-prey’s junior staff, while awaiting a thorough maintenance. It would be during this maintenance when the fledgling Romulan Republic had perpetrated a surprise attack on the Imperial flotilla Sienov had been docked at. With little else to do against a Republic attack wing, the junior officers surrendered, and the I.R.W. Sienov would be taken by the RRF.
R.R.W. Sienov
Newly christened the R.R.W. Sienov, the Romulan bird-of-prey would see its first refit and after-factory improvements. Taking place during a technological transition. The scarcely supplied Republic had not only used components from the more modern light warbird, but had implemented some of its modular elements into its upgrade. This new Sienov finding itself in the hands of a Centurion, Rsha’tkch Shavanth. This Centurion being the initial acting Commander for the R.R.W. Sienov’s commission under the Romulan Republic. Shavanth seeing the refitted Bird-of-prey into its first battles against the Romulan Star Empire. 2345, The R.R.W. Sienov engages a small Imperial strike force. Centurion Shavanth commands the ship to blanket an asteroid field by preemptively and artificially producing the environmental factors required for a small nebula to form. Piloting the ship himself, despite the interference to navigation and sensors, the R.R.W. Sienov would see to the destruction of this task force, having used the asteroid belt to its advantage.
Centurion Shavanth would be promptly promoted to Subcommander upon his return for his victory, then subsequently reprimanded for his recklessness.
Atilla Rejok
Atilla Rejok, eldest son of Commander-General Raha Rejok, had managed to graduate near top of his class from the Republic’s War Academy. A promising officer along the Command career track. He, as well as another graduate, Pital Thrippe, an officer well along her Intelligence career, would both find themselves assigned to the R.R.W. Sienov.
During one of the more significant skirmishes against the Star Empire, both CO and XO would be killed in action. The loss of both senior officers near simultaneously driving the crew to panic. Atilla and Pital grabbing command of the ship themselves. Pital reigning in the crew, while Atilla worked on getting them all out of the battle alive.
The two’s success in 2356 prompting the RRF to let the two keep command of the ship.
The R.R.W. Sienov would gain its desertion status after Atilla’s continued disagreement and subtle disobedience of the Republic’s continuously growing bureaucratic habits would culminate in a brash and unprovoked attack on an Imperial senator, resulting in 34 casualties. Sienov’s situation worsening when the Star Empire began to seek out retribution for the dead senator. The relentless pursuit and skirmish across multiple sectors ending with the death of Atilla’s wife.
Sienov’s status is now continuously in question, its wellbeing only able to be confirmed upon its appearance.

Physical Arrangement & Crew Support
Sienov has seen vast modifications, additions, as well as general renovation since its time as an imperial Romulan warbird. The I.R.W. Sienov having the standard composition of any other Romulan Bird-of-prey at the time. The ship’s profile under the Republic more so similar to the likes of the T’Varo class of the Romulan-Earth War of the 22nd century. With several internal components from the Malem Light Warbird, it was clear there was an attempt to fill in the gaps, T’Varo parts used where ever the RRF had lacked Malem intrinsics.
Measuring at a full 150.1 meters in length, with a small fraction of that coming from the nacelles’ forward protrusion. The Sienov shares the standard profile of its class: a primary hull, fitted with it’s bridge dome at the top. The two nacelles connected to the hull by the iconic Romulan wings. Tucked toward the ventral hull is the primary torpedo launcher, the entirety of its makeup composing a large portion of the center-front area of deck 4, with the rest of the deck housing the ship’s shuttle bay and transporter maintenance.
Accommodations aboard the Sienov were standard of its class, with primary housing being on deck 2. With Atilla’s mercenary composition fluctuating, the total crew count has managed to remain under the approximate maximum capacity of 150. Due to this, Sienov personnel has been allowed in certain instances to have their own quarters. In most cases, the unoccupied quarters are repurposed either for guests or additional storage. Crew quarter assignment is strictly first come first serve, with favor towards senior officers, bridge staff, department heads, and cliques. Cliques in common occurrence choosing to group 2-4 to a quarter, and then occupy 1-3 adjacent quarters. For example, Tiheth’s Angels.
Medical care, as well as Sienov’s science lab take up the entirety of the fifth and lowest deck. Deck 5 having undergone the brunt of Sienov’s interior renovation. The deck wide science lab having an open layout, with a distinct lack of walls and an abundance of consoles. Sickbay would be located towards the aft section of the ship on deck 5, it coming equipped standard with an array of biobeds, and even with its own surgical suite. In case of patient overflow, the entire floor of deck 5 can be repurposed into a treatment center.
The Sienov has evolved passed its initial mission profile provided under the Romulan Star Empire, no longer just another backbone ship of the Imperial armada. With the improvements made to its cloaking device and the overall increased power output to weaponry. Where older, stock variants of the class would suffer massive energy drain from using just one of these systems at a time, Sienov circumvented this disadvantage by integrating a Breen Hypo-Coolant matrix, initially intended for Breen environmental systems. The Sienov has repurposed the Breen technology to allow for a heatsink for the energy-waste that cannot be recycled.

Command & Control Systems

I.R.W. Sienov Bridge, 2335
The T’liss class would be initially outfitted with the standard Romulan computer technology of the time, undergoing mandatory and routine upgrades as the old systems were phased out of use. Under the Romulan Republic and it’s integration of more modern computer systems would see the R.R.W. Sienov fitted with standard isolinear computing. With small enhancements from scarce bioneural circuitry. To bypass overheating, Sienov’s computer systems are supported by the Breen cooling module. The Sienov would only be able to fit a single, smaller computer core aboard, it located adjacent to engineering on deck 3. Primary control of the ship would be delegated to the modular bridge on Deck 1, with optional secondary control able to be passed to the vast science lab that is Deck 5.
Propulsion & Power Generation
The Sienov, like all other Romulan vessels is equipped with an Artificial Quantum Singularity Reactor, Sienov would be allotted a standard cruising speed of warp 7.3 and a maximum cruising speed of 9.7 as a result of its frankly illegal modification to its reactor. These modifications would include overriding the reactor’s safeties for increased power and warp gains. Where typically this would result in a singularity breach, Sienov’s integration of various alien technologies has enabled them seek out such dangerous tactical advantages. Sienov’s questionable modifications even extending to its impulse engines as well as the nacelles. With all things taken into account, Sienov is able to peruse the galaxy at a maximum speed of warp 9.9 for no longer than 6 hours.
Tactical & Defensive Systems
The primary defensive system for the Sienov would by its shield pairing. A modern 25th century Romulan deflector shield coupled and overlayed with a Covariant Regenerative shielding array. These shield provide enough cover during an engagement for Sienov’s offensive capabilities to successfully deployed. Sporting four total beam weapons, two heavy dual disruptor cannons, as well as two plasma torpedo launchers, fore and aft respectively. It is common for the Sienov to routinely supercharge their weapons using the excess power actively being squeezed from the singularity reactor.
Destabilized Plasma Torpedo
Highly destructive, yet energy-intensive. The destabilized Romulan Plasma Torpedo would be fitted aboard earlier V8-class bird-of-preys, eventually becoming a staple of the Imperial Navy’s fleet. Sienov would be of the warbird outfitted with such a destructive weapon. WIth the modernizations made to the then V8, now T’liss class warbird, the energy-drain had been significantly reduces, allowing for cloaking post-firing. Still, some cooldown is required before a singularity jump could be made.
Plasma Wave/Beam Emitter
One of the very first additions made to the Sienov under its mercenary banner would have been the Plasma Wave/Beam Emitter. An offensive attachment made to its deflector. Taking inspiration from the Forced Plasma Beam of the 22nd century's Earth-Romulan war. Though with 25th century innovations to defensive capabilities, the Plasma Emitter had seen a loss of its destructive capabilities. However, Sienov's present day additions have enabled the technology to see some use.Plasma Warhead Module
A secondary projectile launcher, though instead of entire torpedoes Sienov has relegated their warhead module to handle any pesky fighter compliments, as each warhead was capable of seeking out their target.Auxillary Craft
The V8 class of the past were only able to fit two small shuttles in their bays. Gaining a larger shuttle bay upon its refit into the T’liss class, and even moreso under Atilla. The Sienov having a single Tiercel shuttle and Kestrel runabout respectively. In certain instances, any acquired additional shuttles would be magnetized to the exterior hull.
