Commander Sakkhet,
As of stardate 96618.9(14 AUG 2419), Captain Ailes and Commander Austin have both been recalled for reassignment by Starfleet Command. It would not traditionally be expected for Command to gut a command structure in such a manner, nevertheless we find ourselves in a situation that requires action. Commander James Kermit, the former executive officer of Deep Space 13 has been reassigned to stabilize Deep Space 13 in what will undoubtedly test the resolve, dedication and determination of those serving here.
As this station's second officer you have been elevated to the position of acting executive officer under Commander James Kermit to see us through these trying times. As the transit and communication situation from Talos Junction to Deep Space 13 acts on a schedule you may find yourself acting as Commanding Officer until Commander Kermit can secure his transfer orders and transport to Deep Space 13.
