This officer greets you with well wishes Captain. Near one month ago, after investigation of captured Xedi technology, during which other officers provided ideas for approaching non-government faction of Xedi, this officer proposed sending request to Triumverate to send neutral negotiators. After one standard month, deliberation has completed and Triumverate Council has agreed to send Philosopher caste negotiator. However, due to Warrior caste protectiveness, a warship will be bringing negotiator. It will be arriving with in five standard days. Apologies for such short notice, this information was only just given to this officer. Will be more then happy to speak on matter if required. Be well.

Commander,

Unfortunately, the situation regarding the Xedi has developed from when your request was made. Currently, diplomatic talks are on hold until such a time where we can plan for the next stage. Your negotiator is welcome to participate in these new talks as and when they are planned.

I have cc’d Captain Varley who, for the time being, is assisting in taking the Xedi matter forward. She may have some further insight as to future talks.
