38th Command,
I believe that I have discovered a potential lead on the true identity of Species 2492. I recently came into acquisition of a book that was written in the language of the dead civilization that we know as the Diaderi Confederacy. The book describes an alien invasion by a species that very strongly resembles and matches what we know about Species 2492. We also know that the Diadrei were all wiped out by an alien race known only as the 'Azedi' from a satellite that was left in orbit of Diaderi Prime. I believe that Species 2492 and the Azedi are in a fact the very same people.
While this is still far from definite proof, I think this is a lead worth taking a greater look into.
