ROMULAN REPUBLIC CUSTOMS URGES CAUTION ALONG KLINGON BORDER

RRC issued a warning to all civilian travelers within one lightyear of the KLINGON EMPIRE border. Ongoing hostilities between the myriad of factions are beginning to spill into many worlds, facilities, and outposts located on the frontier. RRC is allowing priority travel only near the border. All priority travel requests may be forwarded to the RRC Headquarters on Mol’Rihan.

CONTUINING COMMITTEE ISSUES FINAL GO AHEAD ON TULDOL ANNEXATION VOTE

This morning, 0800 Mol’Rihan Meridian Time (MMT), the Continuing Committee of the Romulan Republic Senate authorized the annexation vote to occur on the INDEPENDENT COLONY OF TULDOL. Citizens on Tuldol are granted three weeks to vote on admission into the ROMULAN REPUBLIC or continued independence. Alien advisors from Starfleet are observing the referendum.

The vote comes amidst growing turmoil on the world due to the Klingon Civil War. Many on the world seek membership into the Republic simply for protection. Should the vote support admission, the RRF have promised to reposition a portion of the fleet near the world.

GOVERNOR AND DEFENSE MINISTER IMPLICATED IN TULDOL ANNEXATION MANIPULATION

Shocking revelations arrive as the leading government officials, the governor and the defense minister, on Tuldol are implicated in attempts to dissuade local citizenry from voting. Coordinating with MILITIA INTELLIGENCE, local constabulary forces have placed the officials into custody. News of the revelations spread across the world, and are expected to all but ensure the annexation vote succeeds.

SHOUTING MATCH ERUPTS IN SENATE CONTINUING COMMITTEE MEETING

This morning, the continuing committee erupted into a shouting match. The sitting member of the Traditionalists accused the sitting member of the Isolationists of harboring archaic, dangerous views which threatened the safety of the Romulan people. The remaining seven, meanwhile, voted to end the deadlock and expel the two members for forty-eight hours.

The incident comes over intense debate on how to handle the increasingly troublesome Klingon Civil War.

ROMULAN REPUBLICAN FORCE ISSUES STATEMENT CONDEMNING DECISIONS OF MILITIA INTELLIGENCE LEADERSHIP

The military, in a rare gesture, issued a statement condemning Militia Intelligence leadership. Reports are circulating that Militia Intelligence arrived on Tuldol without authorization or consent from RRF Command. Citing Article V, Section VIII of the ROMULAN REPUBLIC FOUNDING CHARTER, the military has warned that it will expel all Militia Intelligence members from Tuldol should further incident on the world occur.

MILITIA INTELLIGENCE PROMISES AUDIT OF RANKING RRF PERSONNEL

Likely in response to the RRF’s statement, Militia Intelligence has promised it will begin conducting audits of many ranking members of the military. The move is seen as retaliatory, enough to where the senate is investigating the matter and prepared to step in to prevent anything resembling the political hunts of the Ancient Regime.
