The U.S.S. October is undergoing a partial crew rotation, following advancements of current staff. These offerings will allow an excellent opportunity for career progression and greater self-achievement. If accepted to one of these roles, you will assume a vital role as department head on a Lexington Star Cruiser.
Standard duty patterns for these roles will include Alpha, Beta and Gamma shift patterns.
Chief Tactical Officer

Reports To
The Chief Tactical Officer will report to Executive Officer, Kara Blake.
Position Overview
The Chief Tactical Officer role aboard a Lexington class Starship, U.S.S. October. Standard duties to include ensuring the safety of ship, crew and any guests. Tactical tasks will include protection of the vessel from external threats, and providing insight in such situations to the October command staff.
While day to day handling of internal security will fall to another designated officer, the Chief Tactical Officer will be expected to remain appraised of shipboard security tasks, including but not limited to, regular patrols, cargo inspections and providing assistance to away teams when required.
This position is open to members of the October crew, and 38th Fleet Staff.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and work well utilising their skills in a breadth of situations.
- The ideal candidate will have existing experience coordinating and supporting a security department of minimum 400 persons.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience to ensure the safety of the October and her crew from threats both external and internal.
- The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Starfleet Tactical Systems and their Operational Procedures, foreign system knowledge is necessary to this role.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required and each candidate will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- At least three of the following courses from Starfleet Academy; TAC175: Combat, Phasers and Photon Torpedoes, TAC210: Combat, Marksmanship, TAC250: Combat, Shuttles and Runabouts, TAC270: Combat, Major Starships.
- At least one of the following courses; ARM200: Starship Phasers and Phaser Cannons, ARM210: Photon Torpedoes, ARM220: Quantum Torpedoes, PILOT101: Runabouts and Shuttles.
- At least six years Starfleet service, two years of which served aboard at least Andromeda class or similar weight vessel in a Security or Tactical role.
- At least Lieutenant Commander rank.
Chief Medical Officer
Reports To
The Chief Medical Officer will report to Executive Officer, Kara Blake.
Position Overview
Chief Medical Officer role aboard a Lexington class Starship, U.S.S. October. Standard duties in this position will include handling administrative details for the Medical department, duty rotation assignments, greeting new officers in the department, and other miscellaneous supervisory duties.
This position is open to members of the October crew, and 38th Fleet Staff.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and work well leading a medium to large sized medical team of multiple disciplines.
- The ideal candidate will have existing experience coordinating and supporting a medical department of 450 persons.
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience to ensure the health and wellbeing of the October crew and any guests aboard.
- The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Starfleet Medical applications and procedures, foreign medical knowledge is necessary to this role.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required and each candidate will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
- At least two of the following courses from Starfleet Academy; MED201: Clinical Fundamentals, MED202: Diagnosis, Major Species, MED301: Surgery, Major Humanoid Species, MED610: General Practice.
- At least one of the following courses; MED203: Diagnosis, Minor Species, MED212: Pharmacology 2, MED302: Surgery, Non-Humanoid Species, MED211: Pharmacology 1.
- At least six years Starfleet service, two years of which served aboard Andromeda class or similar weight vessel in a Medical role.
- At least Lieutenant Commander rank.
