ENEMY INVASION FORCE AT CHALTOK FORMALLY SURRENDERS.

Though previous reports indicated success of RRF forces within the sector, silence amongst Romulan Republic officer was finally broken after Admiral Kererek revealed the formal surrender of the invasion force at Chaltok.

Though the RRF is withholding specifics on the battle, it appears the invasion force surrendered once it realized that its forces were spent and, moreover, completely surrounded. Conflicting reports also indicate that some form of mutiny occurred amongst enemy forces just prior to their surrender.

The news comes as a massive relief to both citizens of the Republic as well as allies within the Federation. AFter the collapse of Beta Reticuli, many were speculating that the RRF was a spent force. Such rhetoric was shattered following Kererek’s announcement.

The question now, of course, is what comes next for the RRF.

REPUBLIC BANNER RAISED ABOVE CHALTOK’S CAPITAL CITY AFTER WEEKS OF FIGHTING. RESIDENTS SHOW THEIR RESPECT.

Amidst the shattered governmental district of Chaltok’s capital city, the flag of the Romulan Republic was once again raised above the city. Natives of Chaltok serving in the RRF were seen at the occasion.

After the flag was raised, residents from across Chaltok gathered within the governmental district to pay their respects to the fallen. Colorful flowers, which hold special meeting to the people of Chaltok, were arranged all throughout the government district. The governor, meanwhile, held a ceremony honoring the countless fallen in the fight.

On a more somber note, the entire capital city of Chaltok stands in near ruins. Though the Romulan Senate has promised resources to help rebuild, the indelible scars of the conflict will leave their mark on the Agrarian World.

RATOR III DEMANDS RRF WITHDRAW FROM CHALTOK AND TRI’VOKIL SECTORS. THE REGIME PROMISES PEACE IN EXCHANGE.

Following the surrender of enemy forces on Chaltok, Rator III issued an outrageous officer to Proconsul D’Tan’s office. In exchange for withdrawling from Chaltok and Tri’Vokil, the Rator III regime has promised to enact an ‘immediate ceasefire’ with the Romulan Republican Force.

The office of the Proconsul rejected the offer mere minutes after it was sent.

Rator III was further disappointed when the Federation issued a similar response. The chairman of the Federation Council’s foreign relation committee issued a statement which summed up the Federation position well.

Though the offer was not serious, analysts have begun speculating some on Rator III may be looking for a way out of the war. The catastrophic defeat of the regime’s forces at Chaltok cannot be overstated.

This is a developing story that the Wings and Talons will continue to monitor.

RRF PREPARES COORDINATED PUSH TOWARDS BETA RETICULI. EXPECTED TO LINK UP WITH STARFLEET

Having consolidated its position around the Chaltok system, the RRF is preparing to mount a coordinated advance onto Beta Reticuli. The move comes in light of allies in Starfleet pushing on the occupied system as well.

Only weeks ago, it seemed as though the RRF was on the back foot. Now, it appears Admiral Kererek and the forces under his command have completely turned the situation around. Rator III forces have yet to begin withdrawing from occupied positions. However, it has become clear that they are unable to advance any further into Republic territory.

Admiral Kererek offered a rare, direct statement to the RRF and its allies.

DEFECTIONS FROM RATOR III SKYROCKET

In light of a string of defeats for Rator III, Romulan Republic Intelligence has reported it is overwhelmed with defections from Rator III. Intelligence indicates defections have increased ten-fold since the victory at Chaltok.

Further, defecting individuals point to a desperate situation amongst the forces of Rator III. A defecting Rator III Commander offered a statement to the Wings and Talons.

In light of the situation, the Romulan Republic Senate has authorized more resources to Republic intelligence in handling the situation. The measure is expected to be signed by Proconsul D’Tan in the coming days.

MILITARY TRIBUNALS EXPECTED TO BEGIN FOR SENIOR RANKING RATOR III OFFICERS AND TRAITORS OF THE REPUBLIC

In light of the devastating destruction on Chaltok and temporarily occupied Beta Reticuli, the RRF has begun preparing for trials of senior ranking officers of Rator III. Already, several senior commanders and admirals captured at Chaltok are being questioned by sentient resource officers within the RRF.

How the tribunals are conducted, however, remains unknown. Many, particularly on the devestated world of Chaltok, have been blunt with their wrath. The governor of Chaltok offered a statement to the Wings and Talons.

Additionally, part of the tribunal will involve questioning officers of the 21st Flotilla regarding the collapse of forces in Beta Reticuli. Allied agents have reported deliberate mismanagement of personnel and resources during the opening weeks of the conflict. Admiral Kererek provided a statement.

UNBROKEN. UNCONQUERED. UNITED. THE ROMULAN REPUBLICAN FORCE WILL END THE WAR.

The end of suffering is in sight. But vigilance must be maintained until the war is over.

The RRF cannot succeed without the keen eyes of the Republic’s citizenry. Any and all information vital to the war effort is to be relayed to your nearest sentient resource officer.

The RRF WILL win this war. And those responsible, both without and within, will face justice.

Glory to the Republic.

ENEMY MUTINTY AT BETA RETICULI! RATOR III SUPPORT FOR CONFLICT COLLAPSES! HOSTILITIES ON ALL FRONTS HAS CEASED!

In a shocking turn of events, a massive mutiny of Rator III forces has occurred in orbit of Beta Reticuli Prime. The mutiny appears to be a result of a decision to unleash terrible weapons on the surface of the world. That action, a move too far even for Rator III forces, resulted in significant elements of forces refusing to carry out orders. Reports indicate that the mutinying forces, the RRF, and Starfleet worked together to stop the orbital bombardment of Beta Reticuli. Though several cities suffered significant damage, it appears that efforts to bombard the world have failed.

Admiral Kererek issued a brief statement to the Wings and Talons. In rare form, he directly mentioned the destruction unleashed by the conflict.

Elsewhere, both Starfleet vessels and RRF warbirds have reported that Rator III forces have ceased all offensive actions. Further, they have begun withdrawing from all occupied Republic systems.

CELEBRATIONS ON MOL’RIHAN!

Following news from Beta Reticuli, crowds took to the streets in Mol’Rihan’s capital city. The governmental plaza was soon packed with people celebrating the news. Local militia forces took steps to ensure the crowds did not get too out of control and breach key offices of the Republic government.

MUTED CELEBRATIONS ON BETA RETICULI AND CHALTOK. HATRED AND IRE TOWARDS RATOR III

While many worlds throughout the Republic celebrate, the sentiments on the recently liberated Beta Reticuli and the battered Chaltok were far more muted.

On Beta Reticuli, the populace, many of whom are suffering from malnourishment and lack of medical supplies, are filled with ire. An angry local on Beta Reticuli offered a statement to the Wings and Talons.

TROUBLES ON ALTH’NDOR AND OTHER FRONTIER WORLDS

Citing a clear and decisive referendum, Imperial forces from Rator III arrived on the streets of Alth’ndor to re-establish order. Officers made their way to the colonial capitol building to raise the banner of Rator III. All seemed well. Then, a singular phrase permeated through the air.

What followed, according to one witness, was “chaos”.

Masked partisans swarmed the streets, targeting the arriving personnel from Rator III and forcing them into cover. A huge explosion rocked the city-streets just beyond the fencing of the colonial capitol building. Panicked citizens fled for cover. Many, unfortunately, were unable to escape. After the dust settled, a dozen were found dead on the city streets.

And while Rator III did eventually raise that banner above the colonial capitol, the blood swirling on the streets left many doubting if lasting peace had been achieved. A local, who has chosen to remain anonymous, commented to the Wings and Talons.

The bloody event is already hightening concerns about referendums occuring on other worlds specified in the recently signed Treaty of Tri’vokil. Many of these referendums, which were scheduled for next week, have already been delayed in fear of possible violence.

Rator III and Mol’Rihan, surprisingly, have shown restraint following the incident. Both governments have denounced the violence. Further, both have taken steps to ensure the incident does not facilitated resumed hostilities. Rumors, too, are circulating of a possible summit between Rator III and Mol’Rihan officials to prevent further incidents from occurring.

Whether this amounts to anything is anyone’s guess. The Wings and Talons intends to follow this story closely.

CONTINUING COMMITTEE DEEPLY CONCERNED ABOUT FORMER AZEDI CONFEDERACY

As the quagmire on the border with Rator III persists, the Continuing Committee met to discuss galactic affairs. Their chief concern: The situation transpiring in former Azedi Confederacy Space.

Amidst a maelstrom of competing information concerning the former power’s rump states, members of the committee were quick to vocalize their concern towards the situation in the region. The chairman issued a statement to the Wings and Talons.

The RRF, while issuing no official response, appears to be taking the statement to heart. Resources on Mol’Rihan are already being diverted to its various expeditionary flotillas. Whether this venture, especially in light to troubles within the Republic, amounts to anything remains to be seen.
