TO CAPT Skye CC FROM LCDR Jya SUBJ The Cadet |
|
Captain,
I apologize ahead for adding to your burden when we are already so stretched tending to the MacAlpine, but this update may have an impact on our efforts. Regarding the Cadet we currently have in the brig - Tierno - my staff inform me that over the last few days she has grown increasingly restless through an awareness of the situation and efforts currently being made on board.
I have spoken with the Cadet and she requested that - and I quote - 'she be permitted under mutually acceptable caveats to assist with our recovery efforts, as is her moral obligation as an able bodied serving officer'. Expanding on this, she has expressed a strong desire to assist wherever deemed able - be it with aiding the crew or repair efforts. She went on to reinforce this with the logical argument that had she desired to 'escape' custody then she would have done so when presented with ample opportunity whilst assisting yourself during the evacuation of DS13. Additionally, she is clearly aware of her situation and suggested that the aforementioned 'mutually acceptable caveats' may include security escorts, transport locks and/or transport inhibitors to further reinforce her inability to leave the ship.
Captain, I will not profess to know all the facts surrounding this girls incarceration - that is your prerogative - I can simply present the facts as presented to me along with my own assessment working from those alone; and that being whatever the girl is presently accused of, her argument is sound and frankly we could use every body available right now.
Regards,
//SIGNED//

Chief of Security - USS MacAlpine
