Thank you again for authorizing my transfer to Deep Space 13.

As you already know, I am Romulan. It is absolutely essential and crucial to my religion, faith, culture, person, and position as hru’firh t’Veras to wear a dathe’anov’sen, or House dagger, on my body at all times. I would like to formally request an exception to the uniform code to wear this item with my duty uniform while on Deep Space 13 and on loan to its fleet. I do not necessarily need to carry it openly.

For your reference, I have attached a file notating the many times Starfleet commanding officers have allowed the wearing of religious and cultural items such as hijabs, d’ja paghs, baldrics, Ferengi headdresses, and Orion multi-keys.
