Commander,
Directly from the Admiralty, we are to begin investigation of any and all commerce routes in use by the Confederacy. To this end, I need you to plan, assemble, and execute the required reconnaissance flights to achieve this goal. Use any required craft that you may need. Rules of engagement are not to fire unless fired upon. Keep in mind, our flights will be in independent space. Report back to me with all findings as soon as completed.

Copy that, Captain. I’ll start drawing up some rotation schedules and briefing packages for the pilots momentarily. If I remember correctly from their brief, I believe the Gladiators have had some experience with this kind of mission, so I’ll put them onto it.

Captain. The Gladiators have returned from their reconnaissance mission. A Valkyrie and a Valor were assigned to each flight. Unfortunately, they found nothing untoward - all independent traffic has kept to our side of the Confederacy border, and Confederacy traffic has kept to their side of the border.
