Good evening, Commander.
It’s been an eventful few years on the Mariner, new and old. I almost died several times, I lost a ship, I saved two colonies from getting incinerated, and for the first time ever, I finally feel like I’m not constantly striving for a purpose in my work or falling short of some standard I’ve set for myself. My mindset has shifted to a point where I think I’m comfortable taking the next step in advancing my career and expanding the paths available to me. I’d like to submit myself to take the Command Officer Test to make myself eligible for promotion to Commander and formalize my role as second officer on the Mariner. This does, of course, hinge on whether or not you think I’m ready. I’m free to have a conversation whenever you’re available.
