Greetings,

I look forward to meeting you all individually and am hopeful that we will make many discoveries and scientific progress in the coming year.

Before we can do that, however, there are some admin matters that we need to address. I will require a full report on all current active experiments and processes from all staff, including personal projects. If your project requires a certain amount of sensitivity, please use the appropriate classification in your reply, however I must know at minimum basic details, particularly if your experiments rely on restricted or potentially unsafe substances.

I will need to know the name of your project, any staff assigned to the project, any materials or lab space used by the project, your hypothesis (or intended outcome, where appropriate) as well as the current state of your project, even if it is completed. Please also use this opportunity to request any additional supplies, staff or other resources your project will require. Please complete the below form in this capacity;

To go along with the above, I will also need a report of current lab configurations and allocation of specialist personnel. All the above information will need to be collated before Delta shift on Wednesday the 6th of March.

I realise compiling all this information at such notice while performing your duties is not going to be easy, but I trust that you will perform your duties to the high standards of Deep Space 13 I have heard so much about.

Now with the unfortunate unpleasantness out of the way, I would like to invite you all, if off duty, to attend an informal gathering at Vanilla or Bust at Beta+2 on Friday so we will all have the opportunity to get to know each other. Uniforms would preferably be avoided!

Once again, I look forward to working with each and everyone of you and hope we have a very productive forthcoming year.

Project Title: Xenobiological & Xenology Study: Tik Cosmosoan
Key Personnel: TBA
Materials in Use: None

(OOC: Much as Dex, I've been sat on a multitude of NPC projects / projects from event AAR's that never got picked up, which were planned to be reintroduced as rp prompts for the department. So this is first of several to be deferred, maybe coming in useful for developing rp)

Project Title: Research Cloning Technology & Associated Telepathic Arthropod
Key Personnel: TBA
Materials in Use: None
Lab Space in Use: TBA
4OB3P0J.png

HYPOTHESIS: The cloning facility liberated from 'Branded Lady' forces presented unique cloning technology based on Dominion methodologies. Study of the integration of the discovered telepathic field controlled by the arthropod also discovered at the facility.
CURRENT STATUS: Deferred

RESULTS: Gain stronger working insight into the cloning methods and telepathic field integration with view to developing tactical countermeasures.
OUTCOMES: Inconclusive. Diplomatic ties lowered project priority, though deemed worthy of continuation for ongoing study of the arthropod.
REQUESTS: Xenobiological samples were contaminated by previous lab damage. Retrieval of new sample material from the facility is desirable (if possible as the initial recommendation was to scuttle the facility, though it is now believed to be annexed by the OSN). Allocation of personnel & lab resources to continue work regardless of fresh sampling as archive data remains intact on central server.

Project Title: Exolinguistic Support to Iconian Excavation
Key Personnel: LCDR Lendaria
Materials in Use: N/A
Lab Space in Use: Lab 52
4OB3P0J.png

HYPOTHESIS: Recently discovered Iconian gateway (inactive) within mining outpost of 'Forged Earth' Colony may yield fresh insight into Iconian technology.
CURRENT STATUS: Ongoing

RESULTS: Gain improved understanding of Iconian technological implementation
OUTCOMES: N/A (Project mobilization is in progress. Exolinguistic support on standby pending site excavation)
