FROM Captain D. Konieczko
SUBJ Missing Eridanus Freighters
Stardate 92564.1

As you may remember I've been assisting Eridanus Shipping and Transit with the recent disappearance and subsequent discovery of the destruction of three of their trade freighters. In each scenario that crew of the freighter were delivered unharmed to a nearby system.

Though they have been unharmed in each of the cases so far none of the members of the crew have been able to identify anything about their attackers or even remotely give any sort of information that may be helpful in the locating of those responsible.

So I get to the point, following the suggestion of Sublieutenant Andria T'Anarhai I would like to recommend a decoy operation to get to the bottom of the situation. As I have been involved in this affair since they first contacted us I would like to maintain that status. My request is that with Eridanus' permission we assign several starfleet officers to a freighter in an attempt to observe who is responsible, act against them and hopefully prevent the destruction of another freighter. If either of you are not comfortable with placing several officers potentially in harms way I request that you allow me to embed myself with one of their crews.

I look forward to hearing from you both.
