SUMMARY
Cadet Tierno is in good physical health. Side effects from stasis revival seems to have worn off and there are no lingering negative effects from her captivity.
Scans of the cadet while in stasis suggests that she has been kept in such a state for over a year. There are medical evaluations of a patient with the name Cadet Rianni Tierno within the past 13 months from the Deep Space 13 medical department which both reveal a missing mutation on the RNF216-IT1 gene on Chromosome 7, present in earlier records. This mutation has resurfaced in scans of the cadet following her return from captivity. The cadet also fails to demonstrate the exceptional response times recorded in previous evaluations or the abnormal blood and her vitals read as average for a human of her age. This has led me to conclude that this Cadet Tierno is likely the original Cadet Tierno who enlisted with Starfleet, and the one examined by Doctors Judur and Beckett was an impostor.
Brain scans also revealed trace chemicals similar to signs of a Vulcan mind meld. The neuro-chemicals present are distinct from anything of Vulcan origin, but are structurally similar enough to to serve an identical purpose in creating a neural link between the patient and another individual. This corroborates Cadet Tierno's claim that she has memories of her impostor's experiences in the past year.
After extensive neurological analysis, I have seen no indication that such a link is still active. The signs I detected bear resemblance to what is seen in the aftermath of a Vulcan mind meld. As such, there is no reason to suspect that the cadet's mental functions may be compromised by an outside force in the future.
Cadet Tierno is rated physically capable of active duty at this time.
LTJG A. OSHIRO
An earlier medical analysis made prior to the patient's full revival has been attached to this message which further details the differences in physiology between this patient and the other Cadet Tierno. In addition, while there are no outstanding medical issues with Cadet Tierno, I highly advise counseling attention for her as soon as possible. Not only has she been through foreign captivity, but also receiving memories of another taking her place during this time, which clearly distresses her.
