Commander,

I cannot offer you the chief engineer position about the USS Sentinel however I may be able to offer you an assistant chef engineer position or that as a third watch bridge operations officer.

Regarding the engineering position first, I see that your history in an engineering role that your work is primarily based around software engineering. Have you any hands-on experience with mechanical engineering or with the mechanical QA process? How do you motivate your assigned detail to efficiently and effectively make repairs that will last with limited resources available to you working outside of the comforts of a starbase?

Regarding the experience in operations what is it that you believe you can bring to the USS Sentinel that sets you apart from other candidates?

I look forward to reading a response.

  1. YES, I HAVE EXTENSIVE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND QA. IT IS MUCH THE SAME AS SOFTWARE ENGINEERING. FIRST YOU MAKE IT, THEN YOU BREAK IT. REPEAT UNTIL STEP 2 IS IMPOSSIBLE.
  2. I RULE WITH AN IRON FIST AND COMMAND RESPECT WITH FEAR.
  3. STYLE AND PANACHE.

CAPTAIN, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT I AM VASTLY OVERQUALIFIED FOR THE POSITIONS YOU HAVE NAMED. FOR NOW, I WILL CONTINUE TO COLLECT OTHER OFFERS. LET ME KNOW IF YOU FIND THAT YOU HAVE NEED OF A TRUE BATTLE-HARDENED WARRIOR IN ANY OF THE ROLES I SEEK.
