Please will you go through your case load and reassign items as necessary to be led by other members of the Exolinguistics or Xenobiological team where appropriate. Items that are currently deferred, re-evaluate their criticality and practicality. I would request an ordered list, with a maximum of two live projects for yourself to take on, with the remaining projects distributed to other members of your team, or to remain deferred if they are not critical at this time.

As noted in my initial summary reports, all of the deferred projects are so because they require reallocation of resources and/or new sample material if they are to resume. Since I am in no position to know the desired priorities for yourself or Command overall, I am unable to outright determine which should be prioritized over others. I am also not privy to the allocation of fleet resources to aid in restoration of on-site teams and retrieval of samples so remain hindered in any capacity to even allocate priorities from a feasibility perspective.
Regarding my ongoing support of translation services - again as stated in the previous summary files - these services are provided on an as-requested basis which, given the nature of translation progress exponentially decreases over time with increased comprehension. I apologize if the brief nature of the summary overly assumed a degree of understanding on this factor. Equally so for the one project I actually have active myself at present, as I did state that this is due to call my full attention into the field once the mission team mobilizes, making me unavailable to provide this full spectrum organizational support.
If your resource allocation is completed by the time I return from this mission and you still require assistance in reallocating specialists from within my teams to specific projects, I will of course be happy to advise based on their prior experience & performance. Similarly for project prioritization once the availability of fleet assets to support is verified. It is regrettable that your new schedule has prevented us from meeting to discuss things more thoroughly in person, though I understand what a busy time this can be. Hopefully by the time I return, things will have settled sufficiently and so I look forward to welcoming you to the department properly at that time.
Please understand, I am trying to clarify your own criticality of your projects. Take, for instance, Translation Services to Continued Xenological Study of Holographic Library, you mention that the library is rapidly degrading. Therefore, I would say this project would require a higher level of priority than your others, however these are your projects, I am not able to make this judgement for you.
Once I have received the ordered list I requested in my earlier message, I can then make an informed decision when I make my recommendations to Command regarding which of your projects should be taken forward and resumed. You must also delegate projects to other members of the team, or simply nothing will get done.
Regarding translation services, if these are directed towards yourself rather than our department, I will remove them from our overall roster. Please ensure these projects are noted as such on the list you produce.
I agree with you, however, that my schedule has so far not been conductive to meeting many members of the staff. I do hope we will have the opportunity to meet in a short period of time.

My apologies, I had wrong assumed that the statement of translation service being provided as-requested gave clear indication that there was no more involvement from my side as the on site operations are not handled by this department (your initial request did state that we should list all personal projects as well, so I assumed you wanted us to do so).
It seems I have also failed to clearly indicate projects from across the team are just that - team projects, not mine personally - though I had hoped that the reiteration of such in my previous response would have clarified this already (in conjunction with the further verification that I am personally only actively supporting one project at present), especially given that for anyone to assume such a multitude of wide spanning projects from a whole team were all being operated by any one individual is an assumption of naivety I would never presume to make of any officer. I took from the provided proforma for the initial summaries that the level of information given was sufficient, as a requirement for more would have indicated so on the proforma.
This again brings me back to the allocation of resources; until I know what team is being restored, I can not allocate team members to projects. Nor can I prioritize needs, as outstanding elements are subject to the previously advised cross-function support, and since from a scientific point they are all of equal import (another consideration I apologize for naturally assuming to be understood), the only determining factor is the resource management vs overall progress which was all stated in the initial summary reports to enable you to make the required assessments.
I do hope this provides final clarification on the initial points and again apologize for any assumptions wrongly made from only having rank & posting as a point of reference for what was universally understood, and what was not. I say this not only because all the miscomprehension can threaten to set us off on the wrong foot, but also because I am shortly disembarking on the aforementioned mission and will be unavailable to assist further with your administrative duties.
I believe my request was a simple and clear one, and can unfortunately only assume you have misunderstood, whether intentionally or not. My request was for the person closest to these projects to evaluate the priority of restoring these projects. The takeaway from my discussion with Captain Caspius however is that there is no resource availability at this time.
Because you have not yet provided sufficient information to satisfy the original request issued, the following action is being undertaken; all projects you have been working on are being marked as low priority and are hereby postponed until further notice. No teams will be restored at this time, and any equipment will be recycled until these projects can be resumed again.
I'm disappointed I've had to do this, and hope that this does not impact any scientific value that may have been found within these projects.
If you can provide the requested information before next week, I will reevaluate these projects, however our priority now will be as laid out in the standing orders, and regardless of a satisfactory response I can not guarantee any possible movement with these projects.
With that in mind, your new orders will be to continue development of an Azedi linguistic database beyond the confines of the Universal Translator, in particular their written language (as well as any dialects or other confederacy languages). It would also be useful to have a greater understanding of the neurobiology of each species within the confederacy as it has recently come to light that most aspects of Azedi starship functions are manually controlled, including their offensive and defensive capabilities.
Ensure your team are aware of these orders, and should there be any further misunderstandings with my orders or requests, please ensure you speak with me promptly.

My sincerest apologies for not being able to respond to your query in person, however as of today (10th Mar) I am away from the labs on an expedition and will not be returning until //Error: Stardate not specified//. I will naturally endeavour to address your query upon this return, however should you require more imminent assistance then please redirect your query to CMDR Tellara sh'Zarath. Otherwise if your query is not directly associated with E&X, please forward it for my attention c/o USS Attar.
