Admiral,

Updating you on the Okchii survey:

We have established a safe navigational route into the system, effectively shielding incoming traffic from the system’s pulsar. The navigational buoys broadcast on all navigation frequencies, giving route coordinates, incorporating the pulsar’s burst timing. This route has been tested effectively with volunteers using runabouts, shuttles, and fighter craft. A larger starship should have no problem navigating this route. Currently the Forrestal is positioned in a safe zone that has been marked by additional buoys.

We are beginning our surveys of Okchii II (For further industrial purposes) and Okchii I. Taking current precautions with established prior information regarding Okchii I, I am restricting away missions to emergency basis only at this time. Currently we are using runabouts with planetary scanning sensors to search for any refined materials, which would suggest manufactured parts that would have been used on a starship, hopefully locating the lost VSS Gyya

Will update when we have further.

Captain,

Thank you for the update. Crew safety is paramount. Finding the Gyya would help in providing closure for the families of the missing.
