Subj: Got a plan yet?

Get a move on. As soon as I know what we’re doing, we’ll need at least four weeks of intensive training before I even consider letting a MACO boot on the ground; triple that for any Starfleet lot.

Remember, we can’t do jack until we get that cultural exchange so you need to get your captains moving to that table to negotiate with the viggs. And if they blow that, we need to find another way down and I’m telling you now, I ain’t doing no surgery on this cara hermosa.

Another thing, if we’re looking for these frith, might be worth spreading the net wider than viggo? Apparently there are frith communities everywhere, so worth going to the people who aren’t going to blow our brains out first?

So hurry with that plan. And don’t go dicking around wasting time looking for the green for the endeavour.

and i guess let me know if you need help too but you should be fine since youre not an ensign anymore so whatevs

Muchos besos ,

I do have a plan, I used downtime between appointments to get it sorted. Quick disclaimer now before I pitch this, I am not a military expert, and the plan may need revision, but I think its solid. And I call it Operation Royal Flush, based on an old earth card game hand.

Phase 1: Insertion, aka The Flop

The Flop is quite simple, we must insert onto Viggo without any ties to Starfleet, to this end I propose we procure, or scrub any identifying records of a shuttle that we can launch from the Endeavour outside the system for a quick warp. This maintains what comes later. Our idtenties will naturally be false, I propose we become ‘arms dealers’ looking to sell arms to Viggo. Based on what I learned at the recent dinner with Kacom, this may be our best chance at succeeding at The Flop, or revealing the cards.

Phase 2: The Turn
The Turn, once again is simple, we embed with the local factions, learn of thier intentions, position ourselves from a position of strength to negotiate an arms deal all while gathering intelligence as to the threats that Kacom, or in fact Starfleet may face in the future should Viggo not be amicable to peace.

Phase 3: The River

This is where all of our figurative cards are laid upon an imaginary table. With the intelligence gathered, we break communications blackout and reveal what we have learned. Naturally it would not due for these communications to be intercepted, thus we will need someone who can encrypt this. If things get hot this is where we will have to potentially defend ourselves while we wait further orders be it from The Endeavour or Admiral Bishop.
Last ditch we all load into the shuttle and flee, but that also may be dangerous depending on Viggo’s Defense system.

I am open to discussing changes to this. As I said I am far from a military expert but I hope the research I have done as yeilded atleast a coherent plan to work with.

OOC Transcipt of the meeting for OOC use

Transcript

[Emote] Gabriella: yawns

[Emote] Veneela: Sips on her coffee, seemingly in between appointments. Looking over at Brie she raises her cup in greeting. “Morning Brie.”

[Local] Gabriella: “Morning for you, it’s evening for me. Explains the stupid get up,”

[Emote] Veneela: Looks at the outfit and smirks. “Ah I see, holiday parties already?” she questions

[Local] Gabriella: “Of course, though I need to get myself one of those new moopsy jumpers,”

[Emote] Veneela: Laughs at that. “Loxton was trying to convince me to get one,” she explains. “Im not sure its my style.”

[Local] Gabriella: “No,” she says, flatly, in a way that wasn’t dissimilar to Ayesha. “Your style is grey,”

[Local] Veneela: “Grey? I wear other colors…”

[Local] Gabriella: “Uh huh,” she says. “Sure,”

[Local] Gabriella: “I’ll have a rum,” she orders from Swifty. “Cuban style,”

[Emote] Veneela: Smirks before taking another drink of her Raktijino. “You haven’t seen me on Risa.”

[Local] Gabriella: “Oh I have,” she says. “But that’s Risa and what happens on Risa stays on Risa,”

[Emote] Veneela: Feels her cheeks get warm as she nods giving a small wink raising her glass once more in a cheers. “That is also true.” she replies before clearing her throat. “So…about my plan…” she states

[Local] Gabriella: “It’s shit,”

[Emote] Veneela: Groans as she leans against the counter. “I’m not in MACO, in fact i had to do some research on previous operations, even taking some inspiration from the former Romulan Regime.” she replies+
[Emote] Veneela: in protest

[Local] Gabriella: “What’s the objective?”

[Local] Veneela: “Gather intelligence about what is Happening on Viggo.”

[Local] Gabriella: “Why couldn’t intel do that?”

[Emote] Veneela: Shrugs. “Not sure, Admiral Bishop seemed adamant about sending a small team, i volunteered Endeavour.” she states.

[Local] Gabriella: “No, the real reason we’re going to Viggo is because we’re trying to find more about this “Frith,”” she explains. “The reason we can’t just send intel is because we need to act as members of a +
[Local] Gabriella: + cultural exchange,” she adds. “Which relies on…?”

[Emote] Veneela: Takes a drink. “Patience, and the ability to blend in.”

[Local] Gabriella: “No, before that, what is needed before we can even step foot on Viggo?”

[Emote] Veneela: Sighs and pinches the bridge of her noise “Viggo to agree to such an exchange.” she states

[Local] Gabriella: “How are they going to do that when they a. hate our ass and b. we have… a captain who is known for shooting first going to speak with them?”

[Emote] Veneela: Shakes her head. “The Captain would merely be the figurative driver.” she states “And that is why we don’t go in as Starfleet. Doing so would immediatley put us on the back foot.”

[Local] Gabriella: “So we’re not going in as part of a cultural exchange?”

[Emote] Veneela: Looks confused and sighs “I really wish more people were at this meeting with Admiral Bishop, it truly sounded as if he wanted something Clandestine.”
[Local] Gabriella: “I don’t give a rat’s ass about what the old man wanted. Are we or are we not going in as part of a cultural exchange?” she snaps

[Emote] Veneela: Knits her eyebrows together and nods. “We are.” she states clearly getting frustrated.

[Local] Gabriella: “So why have we got a captain who clearly is going to provoke a war, and, from what I hear, has increased her fighter contingent?” she asks. “And why have you written in your plan that we’re going +
[Local] Gabriella: + to go in as arms dealers? Two and two don’t match up. And I don’t have time or the patience to wait for you to get your shit together,” she says. “If you’re going to make a plan, it must be better +
[Local] Gabriella: + than this, and based on actual research… which I’m assuming you did, right?”
[Emote] Veneela: Ven nods as she straightens up now. “You don’t patience!?” she states actually raising her voice. "Major I put up with your attitude on BN01-A because if I didn’t none of us were making it off +

[Emote] Veneela: that rock alive. But I will not allow you to speak to me like I am an Ensign out of the Academy. I took so long to reply to you because I worked hard on this plan. And if you don’t like the plan+
[Emote] Veneela: I suggest you stop partying all hours of the day and actually work on an operation. Rank comes with privlege but it also comes with responsibility. Something I gladly shouldered for this depite+
[Emote] Veneela: it not being my area of expertise. So my question is, what have you done?"
[Local] Gabriella: “Clearly more research than you,” she retorts. "And you’re right, you’re not some Ensign out of the academy, because none of my FNGs would have served up this steaming pile of crap and been proud of +

[Local] Gabriella: + it," she says. "If you want me to take on the job of planning, I will. You can go back to sticking tricorders up people’s butts every time they have a runny nose or something. But if you want to +
[Local] Gabriella: + learn how to do things properly, you had better swallow your pride and starting thinking things through a lot more. Like finding out what other captains are doing. Like finding out if Viggo even +

[Local] Gabriella: + want external military aid. Or even if we’d be better welcomed if we were defectors,"

[Emote] Gabriella: sips her drink.

[Emote] Veneela: Slams her cup down at the first insult losing all of that proper bearing she typically covets and glares at Brie. “You’re a real bitch at times, I want you to know that.” she states outright+
[Emote] Veneela: drumming on the counter "I will message the other captains to find out what they are doing, but based on the meeting, which you weren’t at, they will likely be shooting first. ‘The Old Man’ as you

[Emote] Veneela: + so eloquently called him, wanted to make sure someone with a brain actually got a mission accomplished and not people hurt. And yes im proud of it because im not fucking MACO. And it was based o
[Emote] Veneela: on an operation that worked like clockwork in the past." she states before going silent. “Defectors could work…but i doubt they will believe a Romulan was in Starfleet.”

[Local] Gabriella: “Keep being emotional like that, you’ll pass off as a triple agent anyway,” she shrugs.

[Emote] Veneela: Exhales sharply and gets a rag from Swifty to wipe the mess she had made and shakes her head. “Oh fuck off.” she replies. “I’m not a vulcan Brie,” she continues. "I’ll rework the plan but based+
[Emote] Veneela: on the brief, Viggo gets off on strength and power. Thus the arms dealers route. I am not sure how we can exhange culture from a position of strength if we pose as a group that ‘ran away’ to them.

[Local] Gabriella: “Well if Captain Vel is getting wet thinking about this blockade, the only culture we’re exchanging is torp casings. Defecting is better because what’s going to give them more of a hard on than +
[Local] Gabriella: + thinking they’ve got one up on the Feds by knowing their secrets?”

[Emote] Veneela: Takes another drink of her now mostly empty cup sighing before handing it to swifty to refill. “Yes but how do we prevent them from interogating us and learning actual sensitive information.”

[Local] Gabriella: “It’s fine, it’s not like you know anything of use anyway,”

[Emote] Veneela: Glares at Brie for a moment. “You know, somedays I genuinely feel bad that you were removed from Endeavour, I even grew weary of the same boring status quo onboard the ship. Then days like this+
[Emote] Veneela: it’s like you don’t respect anyone. Do better.” she states as swifty brings a fresh cup back. Nodding to him she inhales. “I’ll find out what the other captains are doing, talk to Mirazuni and+
[Emote] Veneela: re-write a plan that involves us being defectors. But you had better come through.”

[Local] Gabriella: “I’ll put in the same effort you put in,” she shrugs. “Which currently,” she says, holding up her drink. “Is more than what you’re doing. Don’t bother submitting anything until you’ve checked it and +
[Local] Gabriella: + are confident with it. Not something you have a temper trantrum whenever someone asks you to explain it,” she says. “Even better if you can accompany the Captain in talking with Viggo so you know +
[Local] Gabriella: + what you’re up against. The only part of the plan you actually knew what you were on about was the bit where you said “based on the recent dinner with the Kacam,””
[Local] Gabriella: “That’s kinda because… you know… you were there, so…” she states, as if it was blindingly obvious

[Emote] Veneela: Shakes her head and exhales. “Yea, we’ll be in contact.” she replies starting to walk away

[Local] Gabriella: “Adios!” she waves

[Emote] Gabriella: sips her drrink
