I trust all is well? I shall not attempt to waste your time. As it happens, I have found myself in a conflict with Rear Admiral Konieczko regarding an art piece. Would you happen to be attending the gala? If so, could you transfer me sufficient auction-appropriated funds so that I may have a have a gift for my father for his birthday? He possess a special penchant for art, especially when there is meaning behind it.

I will, of course, attempt to repay the favor. Do you hold an opinion for hibachi?

I plan to attend the Gala and am currently eying some of the pieces for my own. I may be willing to send you a portion of any remainder funds, but it is too early in the week to say for certain. I'm curious what you mean by, "When there is some meaning behind it." What deeper meaning could you derive from the imaging of a colleague's neurological pattern? Why would your father value this one over one of the others? Or a painting you selected from the Federation Archive? Or something you made yourself?

Perhaps I'm missing the logic of your argument.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were tugging at my heartstrings in an effort to solicit my funds to satisfy a personal desire to outmaneuver an authority figure, which is truly motivated by a need to prove to your father that you were the more cunning of the two, thus gaining his approval.

But, I could be way off base there.

Regardless, I wish you good fortune in your efforts and hope you find what you need in this contest.
