BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Jalme tr'Nai was born on ch'Rihan in 2291. Few records survive from his early life. In interviews, Jalme has consistently described his upbringing as "traditional" and "stern". He was enrolled in the Imperial War College from 2316-19, an experience he describes as "challenging", and thereafter embarked on a long but unremarkable naval career.

Following his retirement, Jalme resettled on Ch'Aehkla with his wife and children in 2390. For the next two decades, he lived a quiet but comfortable life far from the rifts and conflicts of the Empire. Jalme was approached by Republic agents in 2411 as part of REDACTED (Clearance XCI) and convinced to move to mol'Rihan the following year. His many years of experience were put to use teaching psychology at the new Republic War College, where he also consulted for the Republic Navy on difficult cases of battle fragility.
With the outbreak of the Iconian War, Jalme's Star Navy rank of Subcommander was reactivated and he was posted aboard the medical frigate RRW Apnex, where he served as the primary duty fitness evaluator for psychologically wounded soldiers of the Republic. During this time, his home on Ch'Aehkla suffered an attack which killed most of his family. The only survivor was his youngest son, Nimol, who was gravely wounded. After the war had concluded, Jalme took a sanctioned leave of absence to assist his son through physical and psychological rehabilitation before returning to service in 2415.
Since that time, Jalme has served as a Sentient Resource Monitor for the Republic Navy. His role includes a range of responsibilities including the gathering of qualitative and quantitative metrics, the conduction of interrogative evaluations, and review of reports and other official documents which may provide insight into the psychological fitness for service of Republic officers.
