U.S.S. BRINDISI
MULTI MISSION SCIENCE VESSEL, BRIGID CLASS
Starfleet Registry NCC-93642
“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
André Gide

The U.S.S. Brindisi is a Vesta Class vessel configured into the Brigid Variant that serves primarily as a Multi-Mission Exploration Vessel and a reconnaissance Vessel with the ability to run silent, reducing it's warp core output and effectively stealthing. The Vesta-class starships, such as the U.S.S. Aventine, Rademaker and Vesta serve as a test-bed for a number of new Starfleet technologies, including quantum slipstream drive the Brigid Class, more specifically the Brindisi is no different. Systems installed as part of the slipstream drive included a quantum field focus controller at the front of the ship's main deflector, and a chroniton integrator; the latter of which could be used to take sensor readings several seconds into the future when the ship was using its slipstream drive, The Starship U.S.S. Brindisi has been equipped with some of the more advanced Starfleet Defensive systems, such as Micro-Fiber Reinforced Hull with Ablative Armour plates and a Self-Sealing Tripolymer/Duranium Gel and Automatic Regeneration Matrix. Commissioned in the year 2417 she's been serving as an experimental platform in and around Sol. The vessel is now ready for further deep range missions out in the further regions of starfleet space. The U.S.S. Brindisi's mission will be at the discretion of the Captain and Admiralty to where she is turned over to and assigned. To better equip the U.S.S. Brindisi for deep space missions, the basics of the Brigid class have been altered on this science vessel by having her shields and cannons reinforced and better protected as well as offering the latest in Omni-directional beam arrays. She has expanded shuttle bays with additional Fighter support, A single fingering wing, Firebolt Squad has been tasked with accompanying the Brindisi on it's exploration ventures. The state-of-the-art science labs are continuously home and host to a rotating schedule of scientists whose groundbreaking research is generally sent directly to Fleet command and Starfleet's Research and Development. ![]()
