Defensive Systems: Aegis Defensive shield matrix and Deflector array, Odin point defense system, Ablative Hull Armour

Specialised systems:

Task Force CIC: The primary design of this variant was to provide a Flag ship that was not totally dedicated to large operations, as the larger Presidio class starship. In place of the original battle bridge a CiC post was built, from here a group of officers could coordinate any operation or battle involving multiple ships, up to 15, and allowing the Ship's Commanding Officer to focus on more local issues. This system has a dedicated computer core, taking in all data from the ships external sensors, as well as any ships linked to the system. It allows full sensor system sharing amid the ships in the network at real time. Through this a 3D real time holo of an operation can be generated for Task Force level Command.

Odin Point Defense System: This system is a series of small 'Micro' cannons places around the ship's hull. These cannons are coordinated by the tactical support computer, and are designed to fire upon any object that closes to a distance of approximately 300 meters of the ship during an engagement. This system is capable of destroying incoming torpedo's with a fair success rate, but is highly effective against small craft deployed as boarding vessels.

History
The USS Victory is the new designation, and evolution of the retired HMS Victory of the British Royal Navy, Earth. After the annual refit of the HMS Victory in 2412, it was deemed that her superstructure was to worn and in of need to much work to remain afloat, so the Admiralty officially retired her. The HMS Victory, was moved inland where she would remain as a museum ship and could be better cared for. The Admiralty of the British Royal Naval Society sent a request to Starfleet to have the name returned to the list of Active Duty ships, in honor of the Victory's long distinguished service.

In 2413 Starfleet ordered the construction of the USS Victory, as a Tactical variant of the Odyssey Class, made famous by the USS Enterprise. Officially launched in 2416 the Victory completed her shakedown tour by traveling from Earth Spacedock, to Deep Space 9, and then finally to Deep Space 13. Until her arrival at Deep Space 13 the Victory was under the Command of Captain Andrew Fisher, who was succeeded in Command by Captain Emery Quint.

The USS Victory, like its namesake, is designated a ship of the line and as such is designed around combat operations. Sporting multiple shuttle bays, a docked support escort, and even a MACO barracks, the ship is designed to serve as a mobile command center and advance force deployment.

Since its assignment to the 38'th Fleet, the Victory has been involved combat operations in the recovery of kidnapped civilians in the Itrin Sector, the defense of Defara, the battle of Bajor, battle of Trill, and the battle of Betazed. SAR operations for the USS Gainsborough, crew of the USS Watchman as well as Romulan Republic and Romulan Imperial forces after the battle of Ch'Aehkla.
