U.S.S. MacAlpine
The U.S.S. MacAlpine (NCC-96426) is a Federation Endeavour-class starship operated by Starfleet. The MacAlpine was laid down in aftermath of the Iconian war to bolster Starfleet's capital ship lineout. The construction of the MacAlpine was plagued by start-stop construction, delaying its launch until 2416.
History
The USS MacAlpine is one of the early Endeavour-class ships, like many of the originals having been built on top of an Odyssey space-frame that was in the very early stages of assembly. Her speciality is tactical readiness to be able to support large fleet operations or to fill the roles of a small task force on its own.
The MacAlpine focuses on firepower, sacrificing some of the command and control features that other Endeavour-class ships have. A lot of the features on early Block-II variants made their way onto the MacAlpine during its construction pipeline.
As with the other Block II designs, the MacAlpine is capable of launching an Aquarius-class destroyer from an external docking slip in her aft hull. Additionally, (and also like her sister ships and many other Starfleet cruisers), the MacAlpine may separate her saucer section should the need arise.
The MacAlpine participated in the Battle of DS13, and though she survived, she did suffer critical levels of damage across the ship, requiring significant repairs. With a tentative ceasefire between the Azedi and the Federation, the MacAlpine transitioned from an offensive duty to an exploratory one.
With taken on a more exploratory role, the MacAlpine transferred to the Deep Space Exploratory Corps near the start of 2418, where it served until the start of 2420, spending two years exploring the frontier.
With the start of 2420, the MacAlpine began to be cycled off its exploration mission, before being re-assigned back to the 38th Fleet.

Physical Arrangement & Crew Support
The hull configuration of the Endeavour-class adopts a chevron-type shape, which of the primary hull, secondary hull, and nacelles driven by the physics of warp generation and control. . The MacAlpine-uses a Duranium-Tritanium Composite double hulll structure, a plasma-based power distribution system, and tricyclic life support systems.
Following the Starfleet standard, deck 1 is reserved for the main bridge, with the briefing room and captain’s ready room located to port and starboard sides of the bridge.
Further aft, the main navigational deflector dish is found at the fore side of the Endeavour-class’ secondary hull. Located right above the deflector are a set of forward photon torpedo launchers. On the underside of the secondary hull are three sets of plates that support the warp propulsion system. The forward plate covers the reserve intermix chamber; the middle plate contains the antimatter loading port, a large magnetic valve that kept the antimatter from coming in contact with matter during the transfer to the storage pods; and the aft cover plate contains the operational intermix chamber hatch, for ejecting the warp core in case of emergency.
One of the few Starfleet starship classes capable of "Saucer Separation". The design included to hull sections: a Chevron-shaped primary hull and a detachable secondary hull which housed the ships primary engines. They could be reversibly separated and were both equipped with independent flight and combat capabilities. Generally, civilians and non-essential personnel would evacuate to the saucer module, while the senior staff confronted a threat in the battle section, which contained the majority of the weapons systems. The saucer is able to withstand crash landing on a planetary surface. However, in dire situations, the saucer section could be still used in combat.
Command & Control Systems
The MacAlpine is still supporting its initial main computer core systems, pending a full computer core replacement and operating system re-imaging scheduled for the next full systems refit in 2426.
Auxiliary Spacecraft
The MacAlpine is equipped with two large shuttlebay, located along the port and starboard of the aft hull of the vessel. In addition, six large landing pads behind the shuttlebay are able to accommodate several runabout-type vessels, and the entire section may be covered in a forcefield to support the maintenance of landed vessels, however, this area is not intended to transport craft at anything other than sublight speeds.
