It took some thought, cause when playing an alien with a non-human standard skin tone, not to mention some physical facial characteristics it can be a bit of a stretch.
I think when it comes to Tala Akaela though, Naomi Scott would do a great job:
Naturally, you have to imagine some prosthetic work, maybe some Alita style CG eyes (Tala's are bigger than a normal human, though not as big as the Alita example). Oh, and a lot of blue makeup/body paint. I am sure Michael Westmore could do it though, lol.
If it helps, here is both a standard picture of Tala if you haven't seen her or want an easy comparison. Also for a more direct example, use this mildly spoilerly MU Tala pic to imagine if Tala looked like a human... as if she was trying to fool people in that universe for some reason...
Spoiler: Resubscribing to the George Clooney Konie, we have moved beyond ER Clooney since they both now have a beard. We've just got to dye it for the series.Show
I still have no idea who would play Drake. And Iām a bit torn between either Jennifer Lawrence or Emily Blunt to play Evette. Iām quite aware they donāt really look the same at all.
I had to think about this one. But, after watching the Diplomat, Keri Russell would be the perfect person to portray Commander Nathes. Sarcastic, witty, overwhelmed with their assignment, and harboring an unyielding focus on the truth. Nobody else.
For no discernable reason (side eyeās @Calyx) I think Lena Headey would be a perfect fit for Jessica Barron-Sternā¦Ahh I love flushing out characters.

Sheās a little taller but has the bubbly personality that can cover Ansha. Also, she can cover a Punjabi accent well. Just put some green makeup on her, some antennae and roll camera.
