NARRATIVE While the U.S.S. Dragon made way to the Kelterre sector to question the former Azedi Confederacy about the alien race responsible for the destruction of the Vesuvi star, the U.S.S. Dauntless and the R.R.W. Tebok made way to the site of the supernova to investigate the stellar debris cloud for any evidence that could be used to trace the craft responsible for the attack.

The electromagnetic charge within the dust cloud made for exceptionally poor sensor visibility. Tomographic imaging scans in the low frequency band were able to pinpoint a positronic energy signature radiating from a piece of debris belonging to the craft responsible for triggering the Vesuvi supernova. The technology was retrieved and returned to Deep Space 13 for study.

RECOMMENDATION Command staff aboard the U.S.S. Dauntless should review Starfleet standard operating procedures regarding entry into hazardous areas and implement order checklists to ensure vessel safety and soundness. Observers should defer to operational command hierarchy. Cardassian Union officers likely to work on Federation ships should review Starfleet standard operating procedures to avoid misinterpretation of ship status conditions. Design of Romulan torpedo launchers should be examined to reduce risk of misfire.

RECOGNITION Cadet Sereya Haro proved to be a valuable asset to the bridge by locating the alien debris. She should be commended for performing well on her first field excursion.

OOC Sticks to the facts in typical Cardassian fashion, though reading between the lines would suggest that there was a bit of discord on the bridge.
