ADDENDUM I have nothing to add to Captain Mirazuni’s account of the events up to our rescue of the crew fro CSS Warpalawas’ Dream. Once we left the region and certain that the Ashuri “Star Ship” (Star Vessel) was not in pursuit, my colleagues and I visited Aspasia’s main sickbay at the request of the supervising medical officer on the shift.
As Captain Mirazuni’s report has accounted, the rescued crew are biologically indistinguishable from Humans found throughout the Federation. If there are any genetic differences, they are within the measuring error of Aspasia’s medical equipment. However, I would recommend running a more detailed genetic marking analysis if Piyamaradu agrees. Scanning of the quantum resonance signature confirmed that they are of our quantum reality.
During our brief encounter with the leading officer, Captain Piyamaradu, he explained that they have been aware of Ashuri through cultural myths. According to Piyamaradu, his ancestors were pursued from the mythical homeland of Hatti by these Ashuri. His people currently live in Luwiyan Star Cluster. Piyamaradu also mentioned two locations, Leukothea and Arpad, leading me to suspect that this Luwiyan system or cluster has several worlds habitable for these Humans. As Captain Mirazuni pointed out, we are heading to their home system to establish official First Contact as any further disclosure.
Upon leaving the Luwiyan Humans and their leader back in sickbay for rest, I ran an analysis of the names that Piyamaradu mentioned. Assuming the Universal Translator picked up correctly all these names in the very beginning, these the correlating names found in Earth’s historical databases:
- Hatti - Name of location “land of Hatti” in central Anatolia, Earth. Inhabited by Hattians, inhabitants of Earth’s Bronze Age. They were succeeded by a different ethnic, but unrelated group, the Hittites.
- Luwiya - Corresponds to Luwians, a group of people also living in Anatolia, ruled by Hittites.
- Ashuri - Corresponds to Asuri, which is roughly translated as “anything of Assyrian”, where Assyrians where an ethnic group in Earth’s region of Mesopotamia.
- Leukothea - Corresponds to Leucothea, “the white goddess” in Greek mythology.
- Warpalawas - Corresponds to the name of Luwian king.
Further reading led me to another discovery - all these names indicate a part of Earth’s Human history which occurred some 1000 to 3000 years ago in the Earth’s Gregorian calendar. Now, this in itself is not much of a surprise. We have been aware of Earth’s population (and of other planets) interstellar displacements since, at least, the time of Captain James Kirk’s report on the planet of Amerind. What is a bit surprising is that the time period is comparable to what Commander Katriel Sedai reported for the recently discovered colony of “Daleike” Bolians.
I will admit - I am very skeptical about these coincidences as they may be seen through the “bias filter” fueled by the fact we are dealing with seemingly non-Earth Humans.
On the other hand, I will “stick my neck out” and submit a hypothesis that we shall find a situation with Luwiyan Humans that is analogous to Daleike Bolians, as reported by Commander Sedai. Even Piyamaradu’s name corresponds to a name in Earth’s history.
I will continue cultural discussion with Captain Piyamaradu once he recovers sufficiently. As mentioned earlier, I would also advise we conduct genetic marking of Luwiyans to get more detailed genetic history of theirs, assuming they agree with the procedure.
