First up, we've made some edits to the Event Posting Format. Of particular note, we've added a few more data points including Audience and Event Type. Definitions for these can be found in the replies to the linked format thread. With this expansion of event categorization, the Available Assignments subforum has become largely obsolete and will be merged back into the Mission Briefs (Events) forum within the next few days.
You'll also notice that we've added a new subforum under Mission Briefs for Standing Orders and Info Sheets. This new subforum goes hand-in-hand with the other big changes rolling out. The full details can be found in these threads (1, 2), but the short version is this:
- All player-crew ships (now termed multi-player crews) are being assigned to a single squadron. In addition, each crew will be asked to maintain an info sheet with some essential details.
- All single-player ships (solo Captains) will be sorted into either an unguided squadron or a patrol squadron. Captains in the unguided squadron will see no change from the current way of doing things.
- Players with single-player ship Captains may opt-in to a patrol squadron (by posting to their character registry thread). Ships in the patrol squadron will be given an assignment to complete each month (essentially an RP prompt), and they will be required to complete it or risk being moved out of the squadron.

The final element is a purge of inactive ship captain alts. Many of you already replied to the starship roll call that went out last week, so thank you for that! If you did, you're safe. To those of you who did not reply, this is your notice: captain alts that have not been accounted for in the roll call by April 7th will be removed from the fleet!
All IC changes will also be going into effect ICly on April 7th (after the end of Parallax). That means you have 3 weeks to opt-in to the patrol squadron if you don't want to miss out on the first month of assignments. This also means that those of you with multi-player crews have that long to get your info sheets posted.
If you have any questions about any of this, please don't hesitate to reply here or contact a staff member.
